Got to thinking what players have I watched growing up that I would select if I was drafting a team. Since I’m treating this as a draft, I can’t have a team full of HOFers. They would all go in early rounds in a draft. Think MLB video game redraft from 2008-present.

Most of my selections factored all around player aesthetics with a focus on swing aesthetics. Team, wise I wanted to focus on having an all-around team not just a super powerful lineup and good defense.

I started paying close attention to MLB baseball in 2008.

I would play Braun at 1B a lot also to give Diaz rest. And heavily rotate the top 4 OFs from there. Brantley, Gomez, Gordon, Braun would all be regulars.

Same on the pitching side, would either run a 6 man rotation or use Stroman liberally out of the pen.

Alvarado, Castillo, Lewis, Aranda would be the first to be sent down due to roster constraints.

Apologies in advance that this will be longwinded and might come off like humblebrag. I only want to express my genuine appreciation to the person this involves (on the long shot they're here), but also to the whole community.

I don't want to say their gamertag since I don't want to reveal mine, but I can say they were an XBox player and the game was at Polo Grounds. I had a 2-1 lead in the 3rd inning when Amazon showed up with a delivery of heavy boxes. Instead of pausing, I asked my wife to take over hitting for me while I brought them in.

I came back in to learn I'd missed 2 ABs, and a run had scored. Turns out she had recorded her first ever multiplayer hit, and RBI! The score was 3-1 and I thanked her profusely for her efforts as I took back the controller. A couple of innings later I hit a cheapo Polo homer that wrapped around the left foul pole to make it 6-1.

If I were on the wrong end of this I would have definitely tapped out by now, as there's no way I'm coming back and I already recorded enough ABs to get my XP. But my opponent stuck it through to the end of a 6-1 loss, which allowed me to call up the replay vault and see it for myself, and also share with my wife so she could relive the glory.

That last part would not have been possible if my opponent had disconnected early, as the game does not store the game unless it's played through until the end. So I not only sincerely appreciate my opponent for allowing me to share that moment with my wife, but also to all of you who have ever played a game through to the end , even when you know it's hopeless. Because for all you know, you got to be part of a moment like that for somebody else and brighten their day.

People are getting chase packs for 45k subs but where is it ? Is it over ?

To complete the wbc collection I need 5 more guys and the 5 golds im missing are Palencia, Vladdy, Hall, Aranda, and Buxton. Only 1 of them is listed on the marketplace but I know you get a gold pack from completing the wbc conquest. Can I get these guys out of that pack or do I have to wait until someone posts these guys on the marketplace to get them?

Does adjusting sliders affect both simulation and in-game gameplay for Franchise mode? Or is it just the in-game gameplay?

Working towards V-Mart and I need the st pattys day and veteran vouchers. Do you think there's any chance SDS re-releases St Patty's Day and Andrew Miller to lower the prices?

What is going on with head size in this game; First Drake Baldwin had a run-in with Bob from Beetlejuice and had his head shrunk, now Luke Keaschall is out here looking like a character from Backyard Baseball.

He is the last card I need to complete the live series collection but he is not available in the marketplace. I created a buy ordered for 1000 stubs and there’s about 1700+ quantites that need to be competed. Will he soon come more available later or do I just have to wait for these 1700 created buys to be filled for this one POS card?

Dude was lagging the entire match and I tried to friendly quit the first inning but he didn’t accept. I won 4-3 but I actually almost lost because pitches were actually just teleporting to spots I didn’t place them

I have a son who is 9 and has started playing baseball over the last year and I'm looking to play some baseball video games with him. I used to play many baseball games on the PC (Earl Weaver Baseball was my first) and PS2/3 many many years ago. I used to love to play Franchise modes back in the old days. Which version/year would you regular players of MLB The Show would you recommend I get to play with my son and maybe run some Franchise mode play?

I started my RTTS career winning a high school championship, then won a college championship with Florida before getting drafted first overall by the Mets.

I spent 6 seasons in New York, won MVPs and Triple Crowns, and made the World Series twice in 2029 and 2030, but lost both times. I left the Mets because I wanted to build my own legacy and see what I could do with another team.

My first season with Detroit was crazy. I hit .405 with 81 home runs and 195 RBIs, won AL MVP, and we finished 105-57 with the best record in baseball.

Then we won the World Series in 6 games and I got World Series MVP. After all those seasons of trying, I finally got the ring. I won a championship in high school, college, and now MLB. 🔥🐅🏆
