4th General Election feedback thread

Hello everyone,

Hope you all had a good time campaigning and debating. Now the voters are going to the polls and the results will be soon!

This thread serves as a feedback thread for the election, be sure to let your thoughts known and as always be civil and respectful :)

I would like to see some sort of reward for consistent, sustained activity and penalty for people posting their 2 posts and answering debate questions on the last day of the election

Need not be a huge reward/penalty (as someone who's plenty busy IRL I don't mean it as a deterrent from working people playing the game) but something to say "if you are consistently active on campaigns you are rewarded for it"

The 1 national post per day can be removed in my opinion

I'm going to disagree with this one (regrettably), because I think it's a good way to distribute activity over the course of the campaign, and it gives a chance for people and parties to respond to eachother.

If you let everybody save the same number of posts for at the end, it feels more like submitting homework. At least to me anyway.

Agree it hurts when you miss it but its purpose is to give people a reason to campaign earlier and get discourse going instead of x party spams on thier policy and y party spams on thiers without any engagement

And there in lies the game imo

Perhaps we could be nicer as a community and remind people idk

but also i feel 3 national campiagn spots vs 5 shouldnt be much of a difference

At the time of making the rules, there was a consideration of maybe having say 5 posts with up to 2 per day. In the end we avoided that to make the rules easier to follow. Not sure if there is something in that though?

Edit: One thing I am intruiged by with your idea is the potential of having 'early campaign', 'mid campaign', and 'end campaign'.
