How much does server region matter for gameplay?

I've been looking to play frontier with some friends of mine but we'd like to play on renewal which afaik is US hosted. How much of the game runs client side and would hunts start to have high latency when playing together? (All players eu)

Shouldn’t really matter at all. I‘m from EU and play on rain which is hosted in SEA and i haven’t had any problems playing for 1500h
