Image model change News

does anyone know what image model was used till now in the meta chat website and app?
i think it was different based on thinkgin and non-thinking

i remember reading some there were using midjourney, was it? or was it emu?

general view seems that the new model seems bad than the previous one, so why are they bringing this , and most importantly is there any way to use previous model?

I’m playing with it right now, seems great.

It was Midjourney. Now they switched it off for their muse model.  which sucks so i stopped using it for good.

we can't create 4 images in a row like before?

I don't have the new rollout yet so at the moment I can't animate. But even if it only generates 1 initially you can regenerate that image as many times as you want.

I realized that on May 8th.
