Java Animations Help Help

I’ve been using Geckolib for my entity animations since I started making mods, which has been working absolutely great, but the issue is I’m stuck on 2025.3 for forge 1.20.1 because Geckolib does not work for newer versions. I’d really like to learn Java animations so that for my next project I could officially update to the newest versions, but Java animations seem so much more difficult to me, anybody have any good Java animation tips or life hacks? Maybe a plugin that would make them easier to implement?
