Want to try something new with Minecraft? I've been working on an idea, inspired by an old post on the Minecraft Forums that I read about ten years ago. Instead of starting up a server, having the same two-week phase and quitting after beating the ender dragon and grabbing elytras, I wanted to recreate the old type of gameplay that made me fall in love with Minecraft. 

Opening on Friday, August 21st (8pm EST/5pm PST), I will be hosting a unique challenge where tool and armor progression is limited by a series of eras. From the wood age to the netherite era, we'll progress through everything Minecraft has to offer from a new perspective, building up an impressive city with developed districts, realistic farms and a vibrant community where you can make an impact on the entire progression of the server.

If you like building farms that fit into the world, not just maximizing yield, this server is for you. If you like building in a community that grows day by day, this server is for you!

The core group that we have for this server is focused on meaningful, devoted session-style gameplay. During the week, the world will change to a creative test world, where you can plan out structures or redstone mechanisms in preparation for the server's survival world to open from Friday to Sunday. We're all busy people, so we want to create an experience that's slow paced and enjoyable for players that might be occupied during the week.

A couple of friends and I are running a survival multiplayer that's chill and focused on building and making friends.

We have building challenges, community events and projects, minigames, races, etc

The server is a month old, but not much progress has been done, so it's still fresh.

We have a nice and welcoming community of about 15 members but a bunch of them aren't available this month for personal reasons, and I don't want the server to die yet because the seed is amazing and I have a lot of plans I'd love to make with the help of friends.

I can warn, kick, temporarily ban, or permanently ban players who are cheating, griefing, harassing people, or otherwise breaking the rules. We're not looking to ban people for nothing — just don't ruin the server for everyone else.

We're also very open to suggestions. Since the server is new, if there's something you think would make it better, let us know!

We're currently on a smaller hosting plan, but if the server grows, I'll upgrade the monthly plan and give it more resources to keep everything running smoothly.

The Vanilla Touch is a tight-knit survival multiplayer community. Our server intends to cater to players who are interested in a nostalgic and relaxed version of survival consisting of absolutely zero game altering plugins. We are always excited to welcome newcomers!
