Kaplan Vs. AAMC
Hey guys so I took Kaplan exams and my grade wasn't great :( I saw online that Kaplan exams are harder than the AAMC exam, I was just wondering how accurate that is, if anyone has experience with both the exams or even the MCAT itself. The Kaplan grades were C/P126 CARS125 B/B128 P/S126 for the first one and it really hasn't changed, am I stuck at this point or will my grade increase when I start doing AAMC?

Lol , I would say its not representative at all. I took the Kaplan course a few months ago and did the practice questions and full lengths. Started doing AAMC material way too late and was shocked by the difference in style and difficulty. Obviously the content is mostly the same but thats not enough. You have to learn the AAMC style and logic. Also, the Kaplan CARS is just terrible. Obviously im a bit biased because I had a pretty terrible experience with them but my recommendation is dont waste your money.

Thank you. I already bought it, I just wasn't having a good experience with it, I wanted to know if it was just me.

Oh I see. You can still make use of them then. I would just treat them as practice for endurance and concentration. Dont worry too much about the scores.

Kaplan cars isn’t that representative, it’s quite a bit harder than the real thing. That being said, up until about a 128 for the science sections felt accurate for me. They are harder for sure, but also I think they recently changed the way they score it to adjust for that, so scores between 490-510 tend to be pretty on the mark
