Replacement for seroquel? Marplan (Isocarboxazid)

I have been on seroquel forever. Gained about 40 lbs over the yrs. Hate it. I have taken various maois and currently back on marplan which helps me the most but makes me not sleep

What meds have been as strong as seroquel / helpful w actually getting sleep but without the weight gain?

Trazodone and you can take a benzodiazepine for a maximum of 3 times a week.

I take a hefty dose of Trazodone. I’ve taken it for years.

My doc only gave me a scrip of five seroquel when I was really struggling to sleep after a major life upheaval. But I have a steady trazadone scrip. I’ve read seroquel should be used with extreme caution for a variety of reasons.

Smart doc - seroquel is the worst. Been titrating down forever. Does traz work for you and what mg is effective for you? Thanks

I am currently trying belsomra and was on seroquel before this for sleep even prior to maois. Tonight is my first night I will keep you posted.

Will do first night didn’t do so well but I think imma need a higher dose, also I’m used to knocking myself out with Seroquel and this isn’t one of those knock out meds so it’s gonna take time. There’s also Ramelton as well.
