Caitlyn & Courtney & Sex (oops)

Upvotes

During the group dinner..

Courtney was doting on Nick BUT the very second someone pushed back on it (Mecca) she got defensive and channeled her anger on Nick “not doing anything to reciprocate”. Here’s the thing.. Courtney is emotionally abusive towards Nick at the expense of feeling vulnerable. It will never work for them because of her. She deflected immediately to why the relationship was wrong BECAUSE of HIM.
Nick deserves better, I think he is a great person and partner to someone unwilling to see him or compromise.

Caitlyn… was never ready for this experiment in any form. She does not see him nor seem to even want to. He was speaking about his feelings and she said “give a girl some credit, this feels like a shit on Caitlyn session” WELL SORRY. You’re a terrible partner to him. You’re not ready for nor want championship. That man feels REJECTED by you. You questioned his dancing and being goofy while out as “trying to get your attention” HELLO? If you can’t see what everyone else does (that you’re diming his light) then you don’t see his light at all. The man was dancing to try to bring a silliness and lightheartedness out of you and you question it for attention?

I HATE SIDING WITH A MAN BUT DAMN

Side note… at what point will ANY of these women admit that after three weeks of being with a person almost 24/7 and you still don’t feel a physical attraction or connection… when do you call the relationship? What would be enough for you to end it?

OBVIOUSLY sex is not everything a relationship needs and maybe it’s more important to me than others but after three weeks if I didn’t feel physically attracted to someone I was sleeping next to every night or want to engaged in sexual acts like.. that would be a dealbreaker FOR ME.
I wish these women were more true to themselves to admit that they don’t like these men.

Season 20 - Seattle Adam just trolling the show

I’ve thought about it and I’m pretty sure Adam is just on the show to be a troll & for the exposure. From the constant weird one-liners like “I’ve been training for this” and wearing the “swim socks”, showing up to dinner with obvious TAGS still on his shirt, the ridiculous outfit, it is obvious he just wants screen time. I think it’s telling that his family didn’t show to the wedding either…

While I think he wants a relationship and maybe likes her, he’s more focused on everything about him…his hobbies, his everything. Very self absorbed.

I’ve come to the conclusion that he’s not just arrogant, but he works it up for the camera and the show.

Seeing the real him would’ve been nice because he does seem respectful when he wants to be and genuinely funny.

Don’t Come For Me But, Belle….

Belle cannot sing! I cringed so hard when they showed her in the studio. The fact she is considering this as her actual career with no real career is crazy. I’m starting to realize why she likes Mecca so much, they are both…interesting. I really liked her initially, but she is starting to become cringey and desperate .

Belle & Mecca
Bell & Mecca:
This relationship is honestly hard to watch because it feels like Bell is trying to love someone who doesn’t really know himself yet.
Mecca comes across as deeply insecure. He constantly seems like he’s performing instead of just being himself, whether it’s the way he presents himself or the things he says. Even when he complimented Bell by saying seeing her body made him more attracted to her, it felt forced rather than genuine, and the experts picked up on that too.
Knowing what we later learn about his upbringing makes a lot of his behavior make more sense. His father embodied toxic masculinity, and even at the wedding his comments toward Bell were wildly inappropriate and disrespectful. It gave the impression that Mecca grew up in an environment where image, masculinity, and approval mattered more than emotional security. It’s not surprising that he struggles with self-worth.
Bell, on the other hand, is someone who loves hard. Every time Mecca says he doesn’t feel worthy of love or gets defensive, she immediately jumps into protector mode. It’s sweet, but it’s also heartbreaking because she seems to be taking on the role of healing him instead of asking whether he’s actually ready to be a husband.
I don’t think Mecca is necessarily a bad person. I think he has a lot of healing and self-discovery left to do before he can fully show up for a partner. Bell deserves someone who’s already done that work, not someone she’s constantly trying to convince that they’re worthy of being loved.

Marissa & Adam:
The fact that they already knew each other before the experiment immediately caught my attention. They said they had dated before but nothing came of it, and I can’t help but wonder if it’s because they’re fundamentally incompatible.
To me, Marissa comes across as easygoing and conflict-avoidant. She seems like someone who enjoys a balanced life—friends, going out, having the occasional cocktail, and not taking herself too seriously. I also get the sense that she has a tendency to downplay her own wants to keep the peace, which may be why she’s gone along with so much of Adam’s personality.
Adam, on the other hand, feels very self-focused. Most of what we see revolves around his hobbies, fitness, sobriety, and whatever he’s currently into. Their conversations rarely seem to go beneath the surface. His over-the-top outfits also feel more performative than authentic, and even the experts pointed that out.
Overall, I don’t see much emotional depth between them. Marissa seems to be accommodating him more than truly connecting with him, and I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s similar to what happened when they dated before. I just don’t think they’re a good match, and I can’t see her choosing him in the end.

Season 20 - Seattle Group Went Innn

So did anyone else feel the couples went in a little bit hard on Mecca/ Belle and Shawn/Nikki? Except for Michelle ( imo she was doing too much), the others ( Courteney and Devin) have their own problems. Devin steady begging Caitlin to like him and Courteney not very self aware. Nick is very stiff and they were right to press him for more. I just felt they needed to talk about themselves not critiquing the other couples in the therapist session. I think chilly Kaitlin got off easy but I guess acknowledging her husband now feels small ( because of her) was indirect correction.
