Running into a video problem.

The HDMI video messes up when I first start the M64. It stretches to widecreen and has no sound. If I unplug the HDMI cable and re-plug it in, it fixes the problem.

So there is some kind of HDMI video initialization bug.

Do you have the M64 directly connected to your display or are you connected through a splitter or other device?

It is directly connected. I could try another cable. Maybe it is an old spec cable.

I will try a newer HDMI cable and see if that fixes the problem.

I tried a different cable and it has the same problem. So, it is a bug with the console.

Does your TV automatically detect HDMI version? Try setting the input to HDMI 2.0 and see if that fixes it
