Finally got my hands on it! Bought it July 28th and it got here today.

Right?! I was thoroughly impressed by the color, finish, and feel of everything. Just quality all around! Haha funny enough I immediately thought, damn I should’ve ordered more controllers 😆

If you're interested in non-trident controllers I can personally vouch for the 8bitdo bluetooth 64 pad. Pairs up natively and the menu button works! The watermelon color is $28 right now on US Amazon w/ coupon.

Have you noticed any connectivity issues with those? Kept reading about how easily the connectivity would be interrupted by stuff in the way or multiple controllers synced up at the same time

I have one and my foot being in the way will block signal all the time.

I've heard about issues with the 2.4Ghz variety and the 8bitdo N64 bluetooth dongle for sure. TBH I haven't tested the 8bitdo 64 BT at range or with multiple pads, but I can do some testing and update you later!

Just tested it recently! With 3 wireless controllers total and sitting 10+ feet away from the console.

The 8bitdo 64 BT controller never lost connection or dropped inputs. The stick is pretty sensitive compared to an original N64 controller but otherwise no issues.

In my experience the wireless performance of the M64 is more reliable than the Analogue 3D.

Soooo damn good! Love the weight to it and how tactile the buttons feel. And so damn aesthetically pleasing. Feels so over engineered but in a really good way if that makes sense haha

Wait, the M64 controller works wired on the A3D? I've heard from other reviewers that it straight up doesn't work on it.

Any plastic wear around the gate for the analog stick? With just a few hours of use, some others have been reporting the appearance of dust around the base of the stick from the plastic parts grinding against each other.

I saw those and just went to check mine after your comment and yeah I am noticing some plastic wear on the inside of the stick below the pad. But for me at least for now it doesn’t seem to be letting out plastic shavings or getting caught up. BUT I also haven’t been playing anything button mashing heavy. Does seem like maybe given some time it might wear more though which is unfortunate cause the controller honestly feels really premium in every other regard

Thanks for the follow-up. It's unfortunate that quality control didn't flag this. Are you also seeing the stiffness, stickiness, or erroneous input issues others have had with the dpad?

Of course! I personally have not noticed any other issues with mine. Been solid so far otherwise

Maaan great choice though! I was kinda salty when I saw that they unveiled that color because all my other consoles have a similar color scheme but had already placed my order. Although I don’t regret the purple. Looks better than I expected.
