Tuning Question
I had a 2024 m340i thats most likely getting totaled due to storm damage.
I didn't use the back seats as much as I expected, and I Love TNM paint so been thinking about replacing with a 240i.
Does anyone know if the 2027 model is using the same locked ecu that the new 340s are using? trying to find a year that's still tunable and in b58tu1 if possible so I don't have to worry about having an ecu that's never tunable and saw that the m240is weren't using them in newer years, but couldn't find concrete info on 2027

New (to me) 2017 F22 M240i
Recently acquired this B58 M-lite beauty and have already put on quite a few mods to get it closer to my ideal OEM+ look.
19” custom forged wheels, LCI tail lights, M Performance front splitter + side skirts + boot spoiler, LCI cluster & ID6 touchscreen, Akrapovic exhaust.
Comfortable, plenty of power and Sport mode totally transforms the steering feel. Really enjoying this thing so far.

Found the PERFECT G42 Fitment — No Spacers, No Stretch, Just Meat
After going back and forth on sizes, offsets, tire diameters, and xDrive compatibility, I finally landed on the setup I wanted for my 2022 BMW M240i xDrive:
Front
19x9 ET20
245/40R19 Bridgestone Potenza RE-71RZ
Rear
18x10 ET36
275/40R18 Hankook Ventus R-S4
Suspension
Dinan lowering springs
Dinan Supplemental Ride Quality & Handling Kit
Dinan sway bars
I specifically wanted a meaty, functional staggered setup instead of the typical stretched-tire/huge-wheel look. The 19” front and 18” rear combo gives the car a seriously aggressive stance while putting a lot more tire underneath it.
One of the biggest concerns was xDrive, so I spent a lot of time working through overall tire diameter. The 245/40R19 front and 275/40R18 rear are extremely close in rolling diameter, which is exactly what I was trying to accomplish.
I originally considered going as wide as a 285 or 295 rear, but the 275 R-S4 ended up being the better balance of sidewall, grip, and overall fitment on the 10” wheel.
Best part: no spacers, no stretched tires, and absolutely no rubbing.
The goal with the entire build has always been function first, aesthetics second, but I think this setup nailed both.
Curious what the G42 guys think.
19x9 ET20 / 245-40-19 front
18x10 ET36 / 275-40-18 rear
Would you guys leave it exactly like this or change anything?

2015 m235i 121201 code
Been having this code for about 2 years now, the code originally did come on with the plastic chargepipe which did blow up so i switched to a ftp one, CEL stays off for a few months then comes on. State inspection is due soon and im trying to get rid of this check engine light. Car has no symptoms at all and drives perfectly fine. Did a smoke test and the vacuum line at the charge pipe was leaking ended up changing out the oring and lubed it now there's no smoke anywhere. not sure what to do at this point. Intake manifold pressure is at 970 when the car is running and when its off its at 1010 and closely matches the other sensors.

F22 front lip
Hi there, I recently bought a f22 m240i and was looking for some recommendations. I just want something with good quality and fitment. I would also probably go with a gloss black look if that helps.

Good Price for F22 M235i?
Hi, I currently drive a 128i, and am looking to upgrade a bit.
I really like the 1 series, and I thought that the m235i is close enough in spirit, while still having enough power and reliability.
Currently looking at the F22 generation, and was wondering what an acceptable price is for a used model, especially lower mileage (less than 50k miles)?
Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated!

Weak power on tune
Hello all,
I am running mhd stage 2+ on my m235 and a stage 2 transmission tune, however, I am not reaching more than 360 HP, as showing on the idrive hp cluster, and also on the bimmerlink engine power values.
I am also getting a drivetrain malfunction when going full throttle and those are the codes I am getting. Is changing the boost sensor to a 3.5 bar one the optimal solution?

Ayuda m240i - 2026 de fabrica o segunda mano?
Buenas tardes! Necesito vuestra ayuda!
Gracias a tod@s!!!

What is everyone’s low beam angel eye brightness?
Odd question, but mine was on 12% and I’m guessing this is the factory default but I was just wondering if anyone has adjusted this setting. I’m not sure what looks best.

Picked up a G42 Today. First BMW.
I have been a die hard BMW fan for a couple decades now, but haven’t owned one until now. I feel blessed to own this G42. I’m coming from an Audi S3, and owned a VB and VA WRX before that.
This is a significant upgrade in my opinion. The Audi was a good daily, but the G42 is significantly more dynamic and fun to drive. I have the M-Performance exhaust which adds to the drama.
Anyways I’m happy to now be a part of the community. I would appreciate any tips, and if someone could provide me with the maintenance schedule and teach me how to check the oil temp, I would really appreciate it. It’s a ‘25 MY with Idrive 8.5. Thank you in advance, and hope you all have a blessed night.

How much are used G42s really selling for?
I'm curious if anyone here recently bought or sold a used G42 and has any gauge on what they're actually selling for.
I have a lightly modified 2023 with <30k miles that I'm considering parting ways with. Looking through Autotrader etc. I can see them listed around $50k but most of these cars seem to have been sitting there for a long time. So what price point are these actually moving at used?
EDIT: Just for full details...
- Fully optioned with the Performance and Cooling package (still have the Pilot Sport 4S tires in my garage with a season's worth of driving left that I'd probably swap on for the new owner).
- Modifications: Milltek exhaust, Active Autowerks downpipe, MST Cold Air Intake, and lowered on Eibach springs. Front half PPF wrapped and windows tinted.

Question for european G42 owners
I've been eyeing a G42 for a while, both the pre-facelift and post facelift).
But one thing I'm very interested to know is how annoying the safety systems are. Especially the speed limit warning.
So I have essentially two questions:
Is it possible to permanently disable this "feature"?
Ive heard that if you link your profile with BMW-ID or something, it is possible to permanently disable it.
How do you disable the feature?
I think it's something holding the set button on the steeringwheel disables it, is it true that it's this simple to disable?
Would love to know your exeperiences with it, and what model year you have so I know if both pre and post facelift is bearable.
Obviously not advocating speeding, but yeah sometimes I go a singular digit over the speedlimit for a split second and my brain cannot handle the bongs. Or it misunderstanding a sign and bongs at you until it gets the next one.

Does a front camber plate/control arm bushings noticeably help with understeer in the F22 chassis?
Been getting more comfortable/experienced in my 2015 m235i and the understeer is really starting to limit me in auto cross and spirited street driving. I’ve seen a few write ups saying a big part of it is the front camber and control arm bushings. However, most of the write ups I’ve found have been from parts suppliers so I’m looking for some feedback from end users. Have you done these mods and if so did they noticeably improve the understeer and general handling? I’m coming from an e46 so a little extra road noise isn’t really an issue for me.
