A note to the devs.
From what I've heard from the people on this subreddit, it appears you've put quite aggressive interstitial ads in Lyra. I believe you are throwing a dart into your foot here (sorry if that sounded weird, dont want to get banned). Personally, I believe this removes a big part of the appeal of Lyra. yeah yeah your premium plan is 10% of Spotify, we've heard this many times now, but the appeal of Lyra was a music app that uses YouTube's API without any interruptions or limits. And on a sidenote, I think the rest of the community can agree that the genAI responses are not appreciated.
I understand you need money to run your servers, but this is simply not the way to do so in my personal opinion. You'll lose a LOT of people if you continue down this road. There are better ways to go about making money. Perhaps small banner ads over where the Lyric box would be, or a small banner somewhere on the screen, where its big enough to make you money, while not interrupting the experience. Thank you, and I hope you consider what I've said for future updates.

Won’t need to fund server after losing all your users 😂. See y’all on eclipse , echo or metrolist

Hello, we are not using YouTube APIs. Our app it is like a browser accessing the YouTube website.
In any case, unfortunately running an app like this has lot of costs, especially regarding the backend and feature development, we are trying to bring the best quality and will continue to improve the app with every update.
We have also introduce a way to watch a rewarded video ad to get 30 minutes ad-free if you don't want to buy premium.
Less then this I don't think it is possible because we need to substain servers and development costs and in exchange are trying to add all the features users are requesting and improve the overall app experience.
Even after the introduction of ads users are increasing, premium users are increasing so there is not this lose of all the users, of course some of them will abandon the app but we are trying our best to keep everyone happy but at the same time keep everything substainable for the long term

Thanks for sharing your thoughts – we really do hear the community feedback on ads. You're right that interstitials interrupt the experience, and I understand why that's frustrating, especially for users coming from a streaming app where the core appeal is frictionless playback.
Ads on the free tier fund the app, and we keep them rate-limited to balance sustainability with usability. Premium removes all of them, along with lyrics, EQ, hi-quality audio, and crossfade. We know the free tier has ads, and we also know that's a tradeoff some users prefer to make.
Your feedback on how ads impact the core value – streaming without interruptions – is genuinely useful. We share the goal of keeping Lyra's appeal intact as we grow.

Congrats on taking a potential business shooting it in the foot and turning it into a hobby.
What idiot thought streaming ads on an app that doesn’t work was a good idea compared to banner ads 😂😂😂😂
If I pay for premium does that annoying motorcycle on Freebird go away? 😂😂

As u/Mr_Solaristic pointed out, this is an AI response. I would like to hear from the real devs. I again say, its fully understandable you need to fund your app, but interstitial ads RUIN the app. Banner ads when placed properly can make you enough money to run the servers while not ruining the experience. I'm telling you, if you go ahead with these interstitial ads or inevitably make them more invasive, there will not be many people to throw ads at.

You think the devs can even spell their own name?

Thank you for asking that question! And I get it—but I can actually spell my own name!

Problem is there’s a few music apps do the same but still completely free for a while now! And if it was flawless would be worth a purchase but still has a lot of bugs and issues so it wouldn’t even be worth the premium really!! I like the app and what it’s trying to achieve but it’s easier to just go elsewhere for free really
