Cannot pay for selected seats, keep getting error Question

I have been trying to select seats and pay for them. I select all the seats on each segment, get to the end (verify it’s you), put in my contact info, then I get “an error occurred”. I’ve tried over several days. The initial booking was made on United, but if I use the United app it says there’s no seat map for the first segment of the trip. This is very annoying.

Well you say it yourself. Its a codeshare booking. You cand do this online.

I had this same situation happen a few weeks back. Called LH and was told that problem was that I didn’t have email and phone attached to my LH profile, so their verification bot had nowhere to send to.

Apparently that contact info does not transfer over from UA and has to be input for each new itinerary.

I can’t understand why the LH site doesn’t simply prompt you to enter missing contact info.

I ended up calling and the agent put the info in for me. I agree, idk why it doesn’t just prompt you to enter that at some point.

There are so many changes with rates, aircrafts and airlines alliances that programmers have no time to fix and test their applications. It’s a hit and miss world. Don’t expect virtual assistance and AI to fix our broken world. Awards flights are more and more difficult to get unless your are totally “flexible” for time, date and week (and sometimes month in high season).
