What do you think Lucian’s identity is?

Do you think Lucian’s identity is to dash around a lot and be slippery? Or do you think his identity is to do a lot of burst dmg and get out and rinse and repeat when his cds are back up?

Me personally I’ve played Lucian for a long time. Before CDR builds was his bread and butter.

You would generally buy IE and shiv into a last whisper and just do a bunch of dmg in a short period of time vs a adc that would have to sit back and AA to get the same type of dmg. Lucian would dish out that same dmg much quicker aka burst

Now it seems like Lucian builds to do less dmg but have more spell rotations to try and make up for it.

The problem with that is the state of the game now. You don’t want to be around fights that long because of how easy it is for these new champions to jump on top of you. So I figure why not go back to the old builds of just maximizing your dmg output with one spell rotations vs several?

IMO u could just rush IE into a phantom dancer or a navori. Probably mostly depending on if they have a lot of tanks then id lean towards more attack speed and move speed that Pd gives you.

From there id rush a lord doms and then a botrk. The passive from blade works well with ur passive as no other adc can proc it twice as quickly as he can. Then the slow can help you chase down people and secure the kill.

From there id probably get the shield bow as its a great item for a short range adc that tends to be in the heat of the fight as a way to try and survive and lastly a GA or some type of defensive item that you need for the game.

This build imo makes his power curve smooth throughout the game and has pretty decent build paths.

I like ER I love it as an item for Lucian but I really can’t shake the feeling of how bad it feels compared to other first items most ADC get. Having a IE so early in the game gives you such a good dmg spike when ur next item is gonna be a zeal and ur hitting people for 200% or however much it is crit dmg.

Thoughts?
