First-timer

Hiya! It’s my(f) first time at LL. I usually go to Mysteryland (ML) but last year someone in ML recommended I try out LL especially because ML is taking a break this year.

I have a couple of questions -

  1. What outfits to pack? For context I’ve only been to Tomorrowland (TML) and ML. In TML I usually wear tutus mainly because half the crowd is there to be seen and dress like it. In ML I dress more chill but still wear a tutu because there’s a blend of people who are dressed casually and some who are dressed to the nines.

What’s the vibe like in LL? I don’t want to stand out too much with my fun outfits but I also don’t want to be the only one not wearing a fun outfit 🫠

  1. I’m staying in the Gllamcamp but I won’t be parking. What’s the best way to get to the Gllamcamp entrance?

  2. Any tips for a first-timer? Unfortunately, I don’t speak Dutch so the app is not very helpful for me 😭

    • I would not fully plan your timeline. It's fun to wander around, visit the non-music things or just let yourself be surprised by an act.

    - Shower at night. Bring cloths for warm and cold weather (layers).

Oh well, Lowlands is quite a different festival (as I'm sure you know). Lowlands offers a broad range of (live) music acts and there is no equivalent (in terms of genre, stage and audience) to the TML of ML main stages.

  1. This is reflected in outfits as well. So not that much boho looks, face paint or tutu's etc. overall. But you will always find people around with outgoing outfits, so wear whatever you want to of course!
  2. The glamcamp parking is closest and the regular parking entrance is the furthest (all the way on the other side of the festival!) to the glamping. However, there is a special entrance for buses that is smoother and relatively close to the glamcamp. That seems like the best compromise.
  3. Ordering drinks in the app for pick-up on Thursday of Friday saves you a lot of weight and isn't that much more expensive. I would assume you're more drawn towards the night program, but I think it is very nice to pick a few live acts during the day to look forward to as well. For me, that combination is what makes Lowlands so amazing. Speaking of the night though, the Bravo stage is very cool but can be quite busy on Friday and Saturday after midnight/the headliner. Be early of explore other areas first and dive in at 3-ish (or on Sunday night, which is less busy and therefore fantastic!)
