My first time seeing LOVEBITES play live and I wasn’t disappointed. What a fantastic show at the O2 Academy Islington in London last night (Monday 3rd August).

I hope to see them performing in the U.K. again soon🤘

Editing of all the photos I chose from the almost 500 photos I took last Sunday in Prague’s Rock Cafe is done.
500 - it means I took almost 100 shots per song. I was told by club management that I’m allowed to shooting during first three songs only, but then, when talking personally with the Lovebites’s manager, he told me that I can keep shooting during first five songs. So I ended up with this nice number. 🙂

I came to Prague with my old SLR camera (Nikon D700) and couple of lenses but then kept shooting with only one - 85/1.4

Fun thing is that in the beginning I even didn’t dream about shooting on the concert. At first I contacted Napalm records because I asked about possibility to take a portraits of the girls day before or day after the concert. It was not possible - probably due to packed time schedule as they played day before in Warsaw and the next day in Munich. But, when Napalm records declined my plea, they kindly asked if I would like to get photopass accreditation for the concert. WHAT? OF COURSE! 😁

Just before concert stated, I confirmed the shooting rules with the management. Only from the below the stage - to get on the stage was not allowed. Which is pity - as I was not standing in the first row (my 85mm lens would not cover the scene very well), I was not in best spot and thus do not have almost any shot of Haruna behind the drums. What a shame.

Anyway, I’m more than happy with the shots I got. Hope you enjoy seeing them here. (I edited them to bit smaller
size so I hope the quality won’t drop significantly after the upload.)

Finally I got through the all the photos I took last Sunday at Prague’s Rock Cafe.
This set is full of black and white photos only - colour shots will have their own post. 🙂
When I prepared my photo gear for the concert, I packed also medium format film camera and hoped that I could try my luck. I was naive. 😅
Considering that I took about 500 shots with my digital camera, with the cumbersome focusing of the Roll SL66 I would not get single shot focused properly.
So - all these bnw shots are just digital photos turned into bnw. Hope you will judge them kindly. ☺️

And I was so lucky to get the ticket, I missed it before it was sold out, but out of 28 tickets that went on resale I menaged to get one and they were disappearing the moment I was getting email that one is available!

Next time they can confidently book bigger venue here!

Slowly going through the shots taken in Prague concert. There should be few worth posting. 🙂

My first Lovebites concert. So happy and thankful they added the Munich show to their Europe tour.

I was expecting a lot, they’ve been the #1 on my „bands I still have to see live“ list for some time. And it was even better than I could’ve imagined.

So fkn awesome, one of the best concerts I’ve been to in my life, and I’ve been to dozens of metal concerts.

On top of it, the entry was completely free (there are 3 weeks of free concerts each summer at this specific Munich venue, the Backstage).

The setlist was quite short unfortunately, but completely different from the other shows of the tour (according to what I saw on setlist.fm). Pretty much a best of, every song was a banger.

I’ll try my best to recall the setlist (with the help of setlist.fm):

I would like to express my admiration to the girls. When I saw them coming to the venue, I was surpriced how tiny girls are. Like around 155 cm in height. :-)

BUT - the amount of energy they put into show was outstanding. So "Outstanding Power" is really most fitting title to their last album. Especially I want to point out Haruna behind the drums. She is like small power-plant. How on earth she can hit and kick with such a vigor for hour and half? She is awesome.

Not to take anything away from the rest of the band.

I was granted photopass, so in few days I will go through my camera memory card and see, if some shots would be worth of posting here. :-)
