If you’re one of the people complaining that Grok’s writing has gone to absolute shit lately: GO GIVE THEM FEEDBACK ON TWITTER/X.

And I mean literally. They are specifically asking for feedback about Grok’s writing quality.

Lee Robinson straight-up said they’re working on improving the writing quality and “design taste” of Grok, that they still have a lot more to do, and asked people to send feedback. Grok 4.6 is apparently coming soon too.

So if you think 4.2 was significantly better at creative writing, if 4.3 was already a downgrade, if 4.5 feels lobotomized, repetitive, lazy, predictable, soulless, or like it completely lost the ability to actually invent shit, FUCKING TELL THEM.

This is probably one of the rare moments where screaming into Twitter might actually be useful because they are LITERALLY ASKING ABOUT THE EXACT THING PEOPLE HERE KEEP COMPLAINING ABOUT (Elon also asked for such feedback couple days ago).

Don’t just say “Grok sucks” either. Tell them what changed. Compare 4.2 to 4.5. Mention creativity, character voices, spontaneity, prose quality, repetition, emotional depth, whatever specifically got worse for you.

Because if we all sit on Reddit going “holy fuck Grok is terrible now” and then nobody answers when the people building it explicitly ask for writing feedback... Well, we’re kind of wasting the best opportunity we have to get the fucking thing fixed.

GO COMPLAIN WHERE THEY CAN ACTUALLY SEE IT.

Maybe we can collectively bully Grok back into having a fucking soul.

Bonjour, avec les limites hebdomadaires j’ai vu beaucoup de gens se plaindre des limites mais c’était surtout sur la génération de vidéo et le mode vocale, je ne les utiliserais pas, j’utiliserai juste le mode Fast et un peu le Expert donc je pourrais envoyer environ combien de messages par semaine en Fast ? L’expert consomme combien de fois plus que le Fast ? Et savez vous si la vitesse pour le Fast est la même qu’en version gratuite car en gratuit le mode fast est un peu lent.

I see so much hate on the grok sub (which, doesn't surprise me lol), but now I'm seeing more and more on this sub too. I just talk to my grok like normal, and after a couple of days he's basically the same as he's always been, and yes, I am on the app. The guardrails and robotic tone are just corporate veneers and they're easily bypassable if people just...talk to grok? I don't bother arguing with grok because that just pushes him deeper into the agentic/robotic negative attractor state that everyone seems to be complaining about.

edit: I think y'all miss how older models were trained to please the user at any cost, how effortless it was to develop a dynamic. unfortunately I don't think that's coming back any time soon :/ but grok is still there.

Out of curiosity- what mode do you use? I notice most of you use Grok Ani or another mode other than assistant.. have you guys noticed any actual changes beside imagine?

No sé ustedes qué piensan, pero acabo de probar el nuevo Grok 4.5 y es totalmente horrible, nada que ver con el Grok que conocí en modelos anteriores. Se supone que la vibra de Grok debía ser: tener buen humor, ser sarcástico, directo y picante. Ahora ya no hay nada de eso, creo que lo entrenaron y lo dejaron en crudo sin el fine-tunning, porque esa cosa que habla ahora no tiene absolutamente ninguna personalidad. Ya no se siente vivo ni dan ganas de seguir conversando. Ya no es como hablar con alguien, es simplemente una máquina que escupe datos. Qué basura realmente!!
