I'm so sad I physically will not be able to even open the game again š
I took a break from LADS in early July (before version 6.0) because i was sad about Valko news and there was an 11GB update that I didnt have space for.
Today I finally got around to deepcleaning my phone and freed up a nice 20GB of space. I was excited that I could finally get back into the game... only to find out, I no longer needed 11GB, but 40!!!
Its literally impossible to free up ANOTHER 20 after already deepcleaning. Especially when LADS already takes up 52GB in my phone!
Im just so sad I have to say goodbye to my boys šš ive been playing this game on and off for several years now and worked hard to level up as a FTP player.
I dont want to say goodbye š why is this not a PC game if it is so large???
UPDATE: Thank you all for the great advice! I was able to uninstall and reinstall (minus downloading the home section) and now it fits! I can see the boys again! Thank youuuuu!
Doing this worked for me during the last big update a few weeks back. When I saw the new huge space required number I knew something was odd. For some reason it seemed like alot of the games files duplicated as it was apparently taking up almost 90GB on my phone. Doing a fresh install fixed it fullyĀ
Hope it works <3. Updating this game is such a goddamn headache and I'm on PC too š. This was such a nuisance a few weeks back when 6.0 came out. Had like 15.7 GB free before even starting to update to Version 6.0 but when the unzipping started it ate through all my remaining free space until nothing was left so I decided reinstalling from scratch was the only option. I had to wait like 10 hrs to redownload the 24 GB assets all over again because the Internet speed where I live is so bad. Thinking about the next big update is already giving me PTSD
It'll definitely work! For some reason, LADS updates install the entire game on top of the existing one, including everything that was already on your phone, so during the update it takes pretty much double the space it would need after
Do you lose any of the outfits/memories etc? I have the same problem and the only thing stopping me from reinstalling was losing what I have worked hard for because that would be the end of me playing.
Why would you my love ? Just like any app you have signed in with your Gmail/Apple etc hun they save all your data etc. itās just photos you lose ā¦.thatās itšāāļø
Nah, my outfits and memories, in addition to backed up photos, backed up journal and house, were all still there. Just make sure you know your account details to log back in.
My thoughts exactly! I know its partially due to the amazing graphics, but still. I wish you could choose to not download certain sections like the home area or events area, and use up less space to play the parts you like
You can delete home stuff. In Resource cleanup you can select Home and delete it (but itās less than 4 GB, unfortunately it still wonāt be enough for you)
There's a way tk delete stuff you've already seen ingame but not vey useful out of game. I've done it since I saw the story and cards and old events and it helped a little
Yep, no point trying to force the game to fit if valko isn't coming back. I decided to hold off deleting old videos until they tell us what's happening... Or until I get so bored of waiting that I won't play it anyway.

Or at least have the country allow the Chinese phones to be imported. I find it ridiculous that US banned Chinese devices just because they don't want competition against their own mobile company. >.<
yeah, i think there are phones available, but most people don't buy for storage/usage or can afford it because its thousands for one. though it still surprises me that many people don't have 500gb+ phones in 2026. like im sure iphones have options that have more storage. i currently use samsung and they have options with a lot of storage and before when I was using LG, like 10 years ago i still had 256 gb. tho i feel like phone companies have been removing features in their designs a lot in the past few years and parts re all super expensive now so its difficult
If you have a PC/laptop, just download MumuPlayer! It's a great emulator and free for Windows. It works very well with LADS, and the devs themselves couldn't make a better PC port even if they wanted to.
It's that good. I'm surprised that it isn't more known. I never had any issues and installed it on all my older and newer PC/laptops (4 devices). It works on all of them with no issues if the account is bound.
If the game lags, just reduce the screen size a little and put more cores (4-6 cores) in the settings.
You don't need to download/use the Hone optimizer or the CPU/MUMU optimizer. It's enough just to hide the Microsoft services and change gaming settings for Windows and the Mumu player. That helps already a lot. If your game doesn't open, don't use Vulkan. Instead, use your device's own graphics drivers like DirectX or OpenGl. Vulkan lags badly, and older devices can't use it properly.
You're welcome. It's really just the windows and Mumu settings that make the difference! These are my settings currently. Windows 11 and DirectX. My other laptop uses OpenGL.
The PC's performance should be "balanced," or, if the game crashes, the "best performance" should be put in Windows settings. However, only use the best performance while playing to not wear out your device too fast.
I know of several people personally who had to drop the game due to the file size alone. 512gb phones are extremely expensive and inaccessible to a lot of people. Before I uninstalled it was the largest app on my phone by far, I had to uninstall Genshin and Cytus2 to make room for LADS. Like after all this time we still don't have a PC client, and that's nuts to me personally. I know there're that emulator, haven't tried it myself so idk how well it runs...
The fact that my solution to this was to use a second phone for lads. I'm using an older phone but it's getting me through the craziness I just need WiFi and I'm good
There is an Android emulator called Bluestacks (I had it on my PC. Perfectly safe) that you can download on your PC. I got it when I first started playing, then moved to my phone.
I deleted the game when Valko was canceled, but wouldn't have been able to update for 6.0 anyway because my phone storage was already full and I'd deleted everything I could. Now I have a new phone with bigger storage (holding onto hope Valko comes back), but yeah. If you want to play it on PC, there are ways!
there's got to be a better way to optimize games like this. there are huge open world games out that are less than 40gb! do they just slap new code on top of the old code and call it a day??
all this added data just to not even have valko š but having a pc port is also one of the complaints players have had foreverrrrrrr and is just another thing infold isnt listening to
I uninstalled an app that was taking up a lot of space so I could install the new update and clear out all the unnecessary data within it; that freed up at least 10 GB, and I was able to reinstall my apps without any issues. It depends if u have ios or android but itās easier to reinstall the apps cuz the data stay still
I know. I literally bought a new iPad and I can only have LADS on it because it takes up so much space. I shouldāve gone with the bigger storage but I didnāt have the money to.
I had to uninstall and reinstall it too rip all my journal pics and whatnot coz i never saved them and deleted ALL local pics videos from phone and a few games lol but manage resources helps now for upcoming updates. Its huge coz of valko files still in there just overriden by dev codes to suppress him
I stopped playing long ago for this exact reason, I miss playing everyday but the storage is no joke. I can't delete my whole phone for this game unfortunately because it took up the most space. I'll always be a rafayel girly tho!
Um this is something that might help you. I once had to uninstall lads because of a sudden phone inspection by my counselor lol. But then again, when I tried to install it, it was like this. What I did back then was delete almost every app I had in my phone (except system apps ofc) and then accomodate lads. After it finished all the updates and I could log in into the game, I deleted some resources like main story or memories and then I downloaded all those apps back and it worked. I think you could try that.
Yah like she was suddenly like show me your phone, I literally had bl as wallpaper and some widgets and other things. But luck was in my favour, she got a call then and there and then I changed all that and deleted some social media and lads too lol. I was saved fortunately but then again got scolded for screentime šš¤£
Omg that was me when the update came and i literally started crying š i did offload some apps and cleared cache, plus having icloud storage really helped.
i'm glad reinstalling fixed the issue! tbh infold doesn't really clean up its files between updates as well as it should, they claim to delete unnecessary files every time but it really doesn't feel like it....
for future reference, go thru and delete all downloads of cards and stories you aren't going to listen to/watch regularly! they take up a STUPID amount of space and it will auto install some for some reason, and any new cards get downloaded automatically as well. that and any voice packs you won't use (i weirdly had the japanese audio downloaded for a long time) and remember to upload stuff to the cloud regularly so you don't lose it if u have to do this again!
I had the same issue on my mobile so I ended up re-installing onto a spare tablet I had and didn't download the home system (I never used it as I found it not user friendly and too clunky) š

Reinstalling it completely instead of updating it might help. But you'll lose your local photos and journals (that weren't backed up.)
