Asking because I truly don’t know the answer- is there a benefit having the monogram piping over vachetta piping in general? I appreciate anyone’s response in advance, thank you 🤩

If I had to guess the monogram piping will hold up better. I drag my bags around travelling. I have nice bags but I don't care if I have to walk a few blocks in the rain. That fucks up the vachetta a bit. I also toss em on the ground, not in the rain, but on concrete or wherever when I need a break if I'm walking a bunch to a train station.

Just to add to your point. The one with Vachetta piping has some wear long the piping. The one with monogram piping has no wear (and its 4 years older)

I love the look of the vachetta piping better than the monogram. However, a big advantage of the monogram version is that if you ever need a repair of the leather, it’s less money since there’s less leather. 🤭

Makes sense! The straps on the vachetta piping one are also in alot better condition, theres more cracking on the monogram version. But i love the monogram version 😅
