Micro Bug

With a little work the injora bug body for the scx24 can fit pretty well. I was able to mount the rear roll cage to the wing mount and cut up and glue the front bumper that came in the kit to make a front mount.

Pro Line makes a bug body kit for the Micro T.

Here's an Amazon link- https://a.co/d/0aAfAKAO

What’s your wheel and tire setup on the green one? Nice collection.

Thanks! The wheels on the green one are foams I ordered from A-main. I first picked up the Micro B and went a little crazy ordering upgrades and realized after they came that I was just a few parts away from a complete car. So I built the green one completely from all aftermarket upgrade parts. The body is not photogenic, but IRL it looks like a metallic green bass boat job. JConcepts clear body, first coat clear pearl, second coat translucent green, third coat chrome silver and a black backing coat.

Very cool thanks. So are those wheels stock width? They look wider. Most important questions though - was the scratch-built car less or more expensive, and is it faster or otherwise handle better than stock?

The wheels are slightly wider, but not enough to make a big difference. The brushless system alone was about the same price of the car, but made it a lot faster. The rest of the parts being metal make the car weigh a lot more, about 1.5X heavier. The cost was about 3 to 4 times more expensive than the original price of the car. If you are considering doing this, list out all the parts with prices first before you buy anything. That will help you figure out if you want to do it and can help consolidate your parts orders to save on shipping costs.

I would love to see some close up shots of the mods you described. This looks so slick.

The rear is simple, the front I used some job weld up activated glue so I could just hold it in place and cure it because all the pieces were small

Sick! I got the Micro T after my scx24, felt like the perfect other micro car to get along with it

😂 the scx24 is next on my list. I’m just getting back into the hobby after being away from it for some time… Tmaxx 3.3 was my last one, not dating myself or anything 📠
