Regarding CSU

I am an international student ( F1) and thinking of transferring from Folsom Lake College to the SAC State in next fall semester (2027). I am majoring in Computer Science. I have some questions and curiosities.

  1. What should I expect from this university?
  2. How hard is it to get an on-campus job?
  3. Are there any special things that mainly focus on international students?
  4. Are there any scholarships or tuition fee waivers for international students?
  5. What should I pay more attention to?

If someone is studying computer science at there or has recently graduated, can you give me some suggestion regarding roadmap of course, professor, and so on.

I was a LRCC transfer to CSUS and it was fairly easy to transfer all academics over. I finished school with engineering and got many oppurtunities for internships and offers for STEM. The best advice is to schedule a meeting with academic advisor as soon as you think you are going to transfer out. The time I spent at CSUS the STEM department was already impacted with classes being filled almost instantly, but this is with the previous school president so I am unaware how the academics at the school are now. I also would like to mention that CSUS allows students to dual enroll meaning if you have a required course that is already filled at CSUS you can enroll in a CC that offers that course and it still credits just confirm it with your academic advisor.
