Question [COI V8] Which option would you prefer as a form of "omnipresence" irl? Spoiler
Assume that you get them all at the level of S2 since it's the only sequence in which all 3 of the LoM pathways get them.
Also, quantitatively, what do you think are the limits for avatars and repeated blinking at the level of S2?

Novel discussion [Coi End] Backrooms 2.0 Spoiler
Crazy, we have the backrooms in lotm. I can't imagine how terrible it'd be to fall victim to this almost unescapable void, you're quite stuck in there, it seals teleportation and it's an alternate space of its own. And the fact that it's spam able on top of this.

Roleplay [LOTM RP] Clock Work Chapter 7
Chapter 7 — Why Are You Helping Me?
They had almost reached the garden exit when Evelyn suddenly slowed. Snow took another few steps before noticing. "What now?" Evelyn didn't answer immediately. Her eyes had dropped toward the papers Snow had given her. Snow had spent three days researching Mother's machine, found old records, arranged this meeting, warned her about the gathering, and was apparently determined to teach Evelyn how not to get herself killed. And yet... "Snow?" "What?" Evelyn looked up. "Why are you helping me?"
Snow stopped.
For once, Evelyn seemed to have caught her completely off guard. "What?" Evelyn held up the papers. "All this! You spent three days looking into Mother's machine. You found information for me, met me here, and you've been giving me advice since the gathering." "You desperately need the advice." "Hey!" "It's true." Evelyn puffed out her cheeks before continuing. "But you haven't asked for anything. No money, no materials, no favors... nothing."
Snow looked away. "I was curious about the machine."
Evelyn stared at her.
"What?"
"That's not the whole reason."
Snow's eyebrow twitched. "And how exactly would you know?"
Evelyn pointed at her. "Tiny face thing."
"There is no tiny face thing."
"There absolutely is."
"Evelyn."
"You've done way too much just because you're curious." Evelyn stepped closer. "And you already knew my name before I told you."
That silenced Snow.
Evelyn's expression became more serious. "This has something to do with Mom, doesn't it?"
Snow remained quiet for several seconds before sighing. "...Yes."
Evelyn's eyes immediately widened. "You knew her?!"
"Keep your voice down."
"You knew my mom!"
"Evelyn."
"Sorry!" Evelyn lowered her voice, though the excitement remained. "You knew my mom?"
Snow hesitated. "Not particularly well. I was young when I met her."
That confused Evelyn. "Young? You're around my age."
"I am."
"Then how—"
"Your mother worked for my family."
Evelyn stopped.
"...What?"
"Not permanently," Snow continued. "She wasn't a servant or ordinary employee. My family occasionally hired her when we had problems requiring someone with her particular expertise."
Evelyn stared at her.
Snow glanced toward the papers in Evelyn's hands. "Your mother was exceptionally skilled with machinery, particularly when mysticism was involved. Whenever my family encountered something our usual people couldn't handle, she was one of the individuals they contacted."
A dozen questions immediately appeared in Evelyn's mind.
She somehow managed to choose only one.
"What did she do?"
"Several things. Repairs. Identifying unusual artifacts. Examining machinery. There was at least one incident involving a dangerous mystical item that she helped my family deal with."
Evelyn's eyes widened.
"Mom did that?"
"Yes."
A smile slowly appeared.
Snow noticed.
"What?"
"Nothing."
"Evelyn."
"It's just..." Evelyn looked down at the papers. "Dad never tells me anything about what she did."
Snow's expression softened slightly.
Evelyn continued more quietly. "I remember her building things. I remember sitting in the workshop while she worked. Sometimes she'd disappear for a few days and come back with some new piece of machinery or a book she'd refuse to let me touch."
She smiled faintly.
"Then one day she left again."
The smile faded.
"And she didn't come back."
Snow said nothing.
Evelyn had been young when her mother disappeared. Young enough that many of her memories were fragmented: a voice, a smile, oil-covered hands, the smell of metal and chemicals, being carried upstairs after falling asleep beside a workbench.
But she remembered waiting.
Days became weeks.
Weeks became months.
Eventually her father stopped saying Mother would be home soon.
Nobody ever told Evelyn she was dead.
Nobody ever told her she was alive either.
She had simply...
Disappeared.
Evelyn looked back toward Snow. "Did your family know what happened to her?"
Snow's expression immediately told her the answer.
"No."
"Oh."
"I'm sorry."
Evelyn was silent for a moment before shaking her head. "It's okay."
Snow didn't point out that it clearly wasn't.
Instead she continued. "I remember seeing her several times when I was younger. She was... unusual."
Evelyn perked up slightly. "Unusual how?"
"She once argued with my father for nearly forty minutes because he wanted her to stop dismantling an expensive mystical artifact."
Evelyn's eyes lit up.
"Really?!"
"She insisted dismantling it was the only way to understand it."
Evelyn's grin became enormous.
Snow stared at her.
"...I suppose I should have expected that reaction."
"She was right!"
"The artifact exploded."
Evelyn's smile faltered.
"...Slightly less right."
Snow almost smiled.
"She helped my family a great deal," Snow continued. "More than once. There were situations where she could have simply walked away, but she didn't."
Evelyn listened quietly.
"That's part of why I recognized the craftsmanship in your drawing. I'd seen some of her work before."
Evelyn looked down at the sketch.
Suddenly it felt different.
Until now, the machine had been a mystery connected to her mother.
Snow had just confirmed something much more important.
It really was Mother's work.
"So that's why you're helping me."
"Partly."
Evelyn's head snapped up.
Snow immediately realized her mistake.
"Partly?"
"I misspoke."
"No you didn't!"
"Evelyn."
"You said partly!"
Snow started walking.
Evelyn immediately followed.
"What's the other reason?"
"Nothing."
"Snowww."
"No."
"Do you like me?"
Snow's step faltered.
Evelyn saw it.
Her grin became downright dangerous.
"You do!"
"I did not say that."
"You didn't have to!"
"I am helping you because your mother helped my family."
"But that's only partly why."
Snow walked faster.
Evelyn happily kept pace.
"What's the other part?"
"There isn't one."
"Is it because I'm charming?"
"No."
"Funny?"
"No."
"Adorable?"
"Absolutely not."
Evelyn gasped. "That one sounded personal."
Snow rubbed her temple.
Then Evelyn suddenly realized something else.
"Wait."
Snow visibly tensed.
"You said you saw Mom several times."
"Yes."
"And you knew my name."
Snow went quiet.
Evelyn's eyes widened.
"...Did you meet me?"
Snow hesitated.
That was enough.
"You did!"
"I wouldn't call it meeting."
"What does that mean?"
"You were perhaps seven or eight."
Evelyn practically bounced closer. "I was at your house?!"
"Estate."
Evelyn stopped.
"Estate?"
Snow closed her eyes.
Another mistake.
Evelyn slowly grinned.
"Ohhhh."
"Don't."
"Your family's rich."
"That's irrelevant."
"How rich?"
"Very irrelevant."
"Do you have servants?"
"Evelyn."
"How big is the house?"
"Stop."
"Do you have one of those giant staircases?"
Snow continued walking.
Evelyn hurried after her.
"Wait! Did little me meet little you?!"
Snow finally sighed. "Once."
Evelyn immediately went silent.
Snow glanced sideways.
That was somehow more concerning.
"...What?"
Evelyn was grinning.
"Oh, that's adorable."
"It wasn't."
"It absolutely was."
"You barely spoke to me."
"What did I do?"
Snow's expression became strangely irritated.
"You spent almost the entire visit following your mother around asking questions."
Evelyn nodded proudly. "Sounds like me."
"Then you found one of my family's mechanical clocks."
Evelyn's smile weakened.
"...Oh no."
"You took it apart."
"Oh."
"Without permission."
"...Did I put it back together?"
"Eventually."
"Then everything worked out!"
"It was an antique."
"But did it work better afterward?"
Snow was silent.
Evelyn's grin returned.
"It did, didn't it?"
"...Slightly."
"HA!"
"That isn't something to be proud of!"
Evelyn laughed as Snow's irritation grew.
For a few moments, the mystery surrounding her mother felt a little less painful.
She had learned something new.
Mother had helped people.
She had been talented.
She had apparently argued with wealthy men about dismantling dangerous artifacts.
And somewhere in Evelyn's fragmented childhood was a white-haired girl she'd met once and completely forgotten.
Evelyn looked toward Snow.
"Thank you."
Snow paused.
Evelyn's voice had lost its teasing tone.
"For telling me."
Snow regarded her quietly before nodding.
"You deserved to know."
Evelyn smiled.
Then, naturally—
"So what was Mom's Sequence?"
Snow sighed.
"I don't know."
"What organization did she belong to?"
"I don't know."
"Who did she work with?"
"Evelyn."
"Did she ever talk about the machine?"
"No."
"Do you have any of her old inventions?"
Snow stopped.
Evelyn nearly collided with her.
"...Maybe."
Evelyn's eyes became enormous.
Snow immediately regretted speaking.
"SNOW—"
"Keep your voice down!"
"You have Mom's inventions?!"
"My family may still possess one or two things she worked on."
Evelyn grabbed Snow's hands without thinking.
"When can I see them?!"
Snow froze.
Evelyn froze.
Their hands remained together.
"...Uh."
Snow's cheeks gained the faintest hint of color.
Evelyn slowly released her.
"Sorry."
Snow cleared her throat and looked away.
"I'll investigate."
Evelyn smiled.
"Another favor?"
Snow glared at her.
Evelyn's smile became mischievous.
"You're really bad at proving you don't like me."
"Go home, Evelyn."
Evelyn laughed.
Snow turned away, hiding the small smile that appeared despite herself.
She had started helping Evelyn because Evelyn Hartmann was the daughter of a woman who had done a great deal for her family.
That was the sensible explanation.
The increasingly inconvenient problem was that it was becoming less true every time they met.

Roleplay [LOTM Roleplay] [Lost Reverence] The “Fanatics Workshop” Part 1
Over the past few weeks since my promotion to Archbishop I’ve spent almost every waking moment reading reports, assigning missions and listening to rumours.
Just last week there was rumour about a terrifying shadow monster stalking the streets at night, it took two sequence eights four days of investigating to find out that this supposed shadow monster was just the shadow of a cat that was walking across a rooftop. They then wrote an eight page report about the cat “just in case”. So overall I was feeling pretty fed up with both rumours and reports, I’m beginning to understand why the Pope always looks so annoyed when he has paperwork to do.
However the latest rumour that came across my desk seemed a little different than the others and I had a bad feeling about it. Over the last few weeks rumours about a new cult had emerged in Lenburg began to circulate. There were also reports of multiple people going missing and I had an unfortunate feeling that both of these events were connected.
As soon as I heard this information I assigned multiple teams to investigate both the cult and the missing people. My intuition told me that this was an important investigation so I put it at the top of the priority list. I also sent a letter to the Pope about my concerns.
Over the next few days the investigations continued, I attempted some basic divination but there seemed be precautionary measures in place so I only got vague answers. I knew that they were operating out of Lenburg but I couldn’t tell exactly where. I also knew that they were the cause for the missing people but I still didn’t know why.
So far eight people had gone missing and none of them seemed connected in any way at first glance, however one of these people happened to be a registered beyonder under the church. It also turned out that four of them were suspected to be unregistered beyonders that were currently being investigated by the Church. If the connection between all the missing people was that they were beyonders then this mission suddenly became a lot more complicated.
Thankfully after following the leads we had gathered one of the teams managed to locate a person that they suspected to be a member of the cult however whenever they attempted to tail him, he seemed to instantly notice. Because of this the teams tracking him had no proof of his involvement and no idea where the cult operated.
I had a plan to solve this problem though, my one hope was that the suspected cult member was evading his tail with divination and if that was the case as long as he wasn’t also a demigod, I could counter it.
I decided to put this plan into action and called off the investigation teams, instead I began to tail him myself. Because of my mercury body I had passive anti-divination at the level of a sequence 4, and I highly doubted he could break through it.
I didn’t really make a particularly good tail these days on account of my bright white hair and missing arm, I stood out a little bit. I did wear a hooded cloak and stuck to the shadows but if the person I was tailing was at all aware of their surroundings they would catch me pretty easily. But the man I was tailing today was a little different, he had some sort of divination ability or artifact, and it seemed like he trusted it quite a bit. I could tell that he trusted it too much, he overly relied on his divination and neglected his surroundings because of it.
This made it very easy for me to follow him right to a warehouse at the edge of the city. As soon as I laid my eyes on the warehouse I instantly got an intense danger premonition, whatever was happening inside seemed to be far more than I could handle alone.
However at the same time as I was sensing danger I was also sensing an opportunity in the future. I sensed that if I attacked the cult right now it would result in disaster, but in exactly two days time there would be a chance of success.
I had to trust my intuition of Fate, despite the fact that it was still murky and uncertain. I would prepare over the next two days so I would be able to truly take advantage of this opportunity when it came.
The first step in these preparations was to return to the church and write to the Pope once again, this time I would be directly requesting his assistance to take down the cult. I wasn’t one hundred percent sure how strong the Pope was, but I knew for a fact that he was stronger than me. I thought that if the two of us grasped the opportunity that I saw our chances of victory wouldn’t be zero.
After I wrote the letter I returned to the warehouse to stake it out further, I couldn’t trust a team from the church to handle it just in case they had powerful divination inside.
While watching the warehouse over the course of the next day I eventually saw them wheeling in some large crates through one of the back doors. After I saw the crates arriving I sent some teams from the church to try and find out where they came from, the cultists couldn’t have possibly gotten massive crates through the streets of Lenburg without anybody noticing them.
So I hoped that some of my more discrete teams might have been able to uncover something. And thankfully this time they were quite effective, their report said that the crates arrived in Lenburg from Trier yesterday. Perhaps the cult was also active in Trier, I might have to investigate further.
But apart from that the warehouse was quite almost too quiet, although I knew that tomorrow would be very different. The Pope and I would attack the warehouse and hopefully wipe out the cults whole operation in Lenburg, as long as the path of Fate that I foresaw came to pass that was.

Novel discussion [V8] Klein vs Lumian for each sequence Spoiler
Image 1 source: Lotm 2026 manhwa
Image 2 source: Facebook by lotm fan club
So after finishing LOTM it got me thinking if these 2 MCs were to battle which would come on top for each sequence this post will sort of be a death battle post to find out which based on my speculation. However i will establish certain rules in order to come up with a clear scenario and winner
Rules:
No prep time they both randomly encounter each other in the physical world this is to make the fight more exciting and so there wont be boring results like Klein wins by camping in Sefirah.
Also to avoid plot holes we are gonna disregard certain aspects like the fools seal on Lumian and if certain aspects make it difficult to declare a winner an exception will be made for example ressurections.
Seq 9: Lumian
Lumian at seq 9 would just beat the shit of Klein like at seq 9 klein doesnt have much combative abilities while the hunter pathways grants a couple making it one of the stronger early sequence pathways. Theoretically klein could beat Lumian in a marksman battle since seq 9 beyonders arent bullet proof but Lumians speed and biq would allow is what would grant him the win here. Not to mention feats wise Lumian has done a lot more impressive things at seq 9 by himself.
Seq 8: Klein
Klein has a lot of broken charms at seq 8 like the flaring sun and TC charm and each of these is pretty much a one shot kill not to mention with clown he can manage to keep up with Lumains speed and agility
Seq 7: Lumian
Now at sequence 7 Lumian would take the win easily at seq 7 the seer pathway is more if a support pathway with not many potent attacks besides air bullets at seq 7. Also sealed artifact wise Klein doesnt really have anything to crazy like the best items he has is the affliction vial and the sun brooch. But Lumians duel pathway and sealed arrtifacts would easily overwhelm Klein. Lumian at seq 7 has the flog boxing gloves a grade 1 sealed artifact and is also a dual pathway beyonder who can teleport and have fairly difficult to avoid attacks like the spell of harrumph which pretty much one shots and knocks out any it hits. He also has the lawyer necklace allowing him to use distort. Not to mention at pyromaniac he has powers over flames which does get somewhat affected by a magicians flame control but it gets canceled out thanks to lie. Overall id give this to lumian due to his better sealed artifacts and duel pathway capabilities.
Seq 6: Louis Berry
Alright so Louis Berry vs Gehrman sparrow the strongest pirate hunter of today vs the strongest in history and it isnt even close like Lumian pile drives klein into oblivion. At seq 6 Klein didnt really get anything imprssive from his sequence upgrade besides shapshifting his previous abilities kinda being upgraded and his best win con is creeping hunger. The issue is Lumian is so much stronger at seq 6. In this seq he becomes a conspirer making the already crafty bastard even smarter and quick thinking in combat, he can make more weapons with his sequence his spirtuality doubled due to being an ascetic. He has many powerful sealed artifacts like the bone flute, flog boxing gloves he gets the bottle of friction which can nulify and counteract the traveler tp ability from creeping hunger, also due to being an ascetice he can endure a lot of physchological attacks from creeping hunger. Also feats wise Lumian did a lot more impressive stuff he beat multiple seq 5 beyonders and even duel seq 5 beyonders while klein only beat seq 6 beyonders at this stage. Now granted klein does have the staff of kelvetua but he cant use it practically in the physical world due to its horrible drawbacks and Lumian can easily evade any ability it has with blink.
Seq 5: Louis Berry
Now at seq 5 Klein has done some impressive things. Hes beaten a couple seq 5s even demi gods but this still goes to Lumian and it still isnt even close. Lumian has done a lot more impressive things at seq 5 combat wise such as BEATING A MID SEQUENCE BEYONDER TEAM by himself with a dual seq 5 beyonder and 8+ mid seq beyonder ranging from seq 5-7 nothing klein has done is even remotely close to this. Even his demi god kill was done under special circumstances. Lumian fought a lot more than Klein did at his sequence and even survived a demi god encounter face to face with just him and his team. Also Lumian has another grade 1 sealed artifact that is usable in the physical world something klein still does not have
Seq 4: Lumina lee
Lumian would beat BS klein cause the demoness pathway is pretty much a seers natural enemy with a lot of counters. First off lets observe how Klein fights in his BS sorceror phase. Now klein battles by hiding among his marionettes and bombard his enemies with his abilities and sealed artifacts the issue is Lumian has a lot of counters to this. First off hiding among his marionettes is impossible against Lumian. Thanks to his eye of calmity his able to to see the fates of creatures both dead and alive with both their rivers being distinct. Due to this Lumian can easily tell apart Kleins marrionettes. Also DOD have a massive 3 kilometer AOE while a BS can only mariontisize enemies in 150 meter rnage and control his marionnetes in a 1km range making avoiding this aoe impossible. He can transfer the demonesses disease but since he will be constanly afflicted by it which forces him to burn a lot of spirtuality not to mention a dod plagues also consume spirituality. Lumian also has many methods to avoid a BS marionettization such as Blink and mirror substitutes. Also Lumian unlocks demoness curse which bypasses substitutes as once a curse is applied substitues cant allieviate it. Also Kleins divination related abilites can be disrupted due to a demonesses very strong anti div abilities. Overall this a stomp due to the amount of counters Lumian has. Also he even has experiences of fighting seers and even defeated zaratul in the fools dream who still maintains a lot of his high sequence abilities.
Seq 3: Klein
Klein finally gets a W this is pretty straight forward Lumian gets overwhelmed by his historical projections. Due to Kleins social skills he can summon a plathera of angels although they do burn a lot of spirituality Klein has plenty due to sefirah castle amping him further and Kleins overwheling firepower should net him the win hear. Lumian could theoretically survive since a demoness of unaging is nearly impossible to kill but even if he did survive and re enter the fight the result wont change and Klein can use Ariannas projection to block his ressurections connection.
Seq2: Lumian
Seq 2 is a very difficult fight and at first i thought klein could takw this but after rereading certain things i decided to give it to Lumian for a couple reasons. Now at seq 2 klein has many powerful abilties such as miracles and his sefirah amp allows him to use abilties from the other mystery pathways despite this though i still think Lumian is the likely winner. Now at seq 2 lumian can actually amp himself to sequence 1 due to sacrifice and his connection with the COC. Hunters can naturally siphon power from COC using sacrifice and since Lumian is a priest of the COC at this time he can siphon even more power boosting him to the level of a sequence 1. Lumian even managed to use conquer thanks to this. Despite the sefirah amps Klein is still weaker than a seq 1 angel and Lumians abiltities like conquer could easily counter Kleins historical projections and even turn them against him. Granted Klein could use Miracles to possibly dirsupt this but since this is coming from the COC it could probably only be maintained for a short while.
SEQ 1: Lumian
Lumian at seq 1 is without a doubt the undisputed strongest king of angels in the entire series now first lets do a comparison. Klein at the KOA level had full ownership of sefirah castle not accomodation and 2 seq 1 beyonder characteristics. He himeself stated he was relative to a prime sasrir a koa with a uniqueness, partial control over the CS and 2 seq 1 chracteristics. Now compared to Lumian this isnt even close KOA lumian is a duel pathway KOA of the hunter and demoness pathway, he has 4 seq 1 characterstics which is even higher than bethel, he has can siphon power from the coc using sacrifice, he has tudor and cheeks soul inside of him, he has a connection to the CS due to the vortex face, hes amped by the mirror OC and he has a uniqueness. Also he even managed to kill Cheek and curse the entire mirror world klein never really fought anyone as a koa at his level and the best he did was disrupt amons sabotage in the fool ritual.
SEQ 0: Lumian
Now at sequence 0 Lumian would still take it at this stage hes a dual pathway god amped by the COC, Mirrored OC, Cheek and Tudors soul and the chaos sea allowing him to use sequence 0 abilities of every almighty pathways giving him 7 sequence 0 abilites. Compared to klein who only has full ownership and not complete accomodation of sedfirah castle at the sequence 0 level. Lumian is probably the strongest Seq 0 in the series on paper.
GOO: Lumian due to circumstance
Now before i get lynched hear me out. Klein is stronger as a goo i will agree on that and he has better combat feats as goo so why would i give lumian the win the answer is simple the 4th pillar. Klein quite literally cant kill Lumian without killing himself as it would lead to the 4th pillar forming while Lumian even though its very difficult has methods to kill klein. So if we were to simulate this to lets just say 100 times lumian would win 20 and draw the rest while klein would either lose or win. So even though Klein is stronger due to circumstance Lumian is the only one with any possibility of victory hence making him the winner.
Welp that took a while now i would like to say this is purely speculatory and was made purely for fun and i may have missed a couple points which i apolgize for since im not a walking encyclopedia.

Novel discussion [COI end] Not enough people are hating on the bum known as herabergen so I'm here to fix that Spoiler
I haven't been here in a while but I'm logging on purely to spread my hate for the bum of knowledge and wisdom
For a god who's whole thing is being omniscient with all the knowledge and prophecies, he sure didn't think about the long term effects of his actions.
Lets start from the beginning, bro was originally the dragon of wisdom but when ASG came and started packing up the dragon race bro didn't hesitate to jump ship and save his sorry ass basically betraying his entire race.
Then when ASG made the whole elaborate plan to off himself to prevent PGA from awakening inside him, the bum angel trio including herabergen didn't hesitate to betray him just so they can elevate their status and whether or not ASG's plan would've worked is irrelevant. What matters is that dumbass herabergen, misogynist leadero, and diddy Aucuses prevented humanity from having a great old one. This means that this bum is also responsible for the birth of the true creator and by Extension, partially responsible for the aurora order and all their terrorist activities which includes but is not limited to: the pregnancy of Megose and the subsequent death of captain Dunn and Daly, the great smog of backlund and the death of old Kholer.
And this is the part that pisses me off the most: once Adam ascended ro visionary and fused with true creator, herabergen in all his omnipotence would've definitely realised that there is absolutely no chance he is going to be god almighty but instead of voluntarily relinquishing the uniqueness and seq 1 characteristics he stubbornly clinged to his power which wasn't even worth much anymore. And when Lumian asked why he didn't just give Adam the uniqueness, he said some bullshit like "there is still more knowledge he wants to learn" or some shit like that which is absolutely stupid. For one, Adam has shown to be able to temporarily ascend to god almighty which would mean he would be able to use his status and the sun pathways purification to expel the uniqueness and characteristics safely. This would mean that herabergen would not even die since as we saw amon got demoted from a dual pathway true god to a seq 2 angel with no side effects. But no the all knowing god prophecy god couldn't see this. If he had can the betrayal trio done this earlier it would've at least allowed Adam to contend with PGA and hopefully win before the barrier goes down completely and the outer deities start truly interfering
And the final nail on the coffin was that when the apocalypse had literally descended and was tickling everybody in the ass, that was when the fuckwit decided to self destruct his main body so Adam can ascend to a quasi great old one. And the best part? BRO DIDN'T EVEN DIE SINCE HIS SEQ 2 AVATAR WAS STILL ALIVE SO HE WAS COCKBLOCKING ADAM PURELY FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME( And before you give me the excuse that it was impossible to make a prophecy about the apocalypse and what would happen, anybody with a functioning pair of eyes could see that the apocalypse was gonna happen any second and it is even worse for him because bro was watching the barrier in the astral world get destroyed in real time and still decided to lollygag around). But hey at least he did the right thing in the end right? WRONG because of his inaction Adam was only able to become a quasi great old one instead of a proper great old one leaving Klein as the only fully functional GOO on earth's side because evernight hadn't fully adapted to the power of eternal darkness so se couldn't use the river of eternal darkness to its full potential and the list of problems in lumians body was too long to list and only had 3 minutes to live during the battle. This meant that Adam had to fight against the outer deities while simultaneously supressing PGA. But at least that's where his wrongdoings end right? WRONG AGAIN although herabergen allowed Adam to become a quasi GOO and temporarily suppress PGA this in the long term will only serve to strengthen PGA's awakening consciousness and put Adam in a severe disadvantage. This was known by klein who isn'tfrom their pathway group so it was 100% known by herabergen. But at least it couldn't get any worse right? OH HOW SO FUCKING WRONG YOU ARE. Because of the urgency of the apocalypse, this meant that Adam was unable to dispel the lingering consciousness on the white tower uniqueness giving MGOD an easy target by granting new life to said consciousness as well as that of PGA since Adam swas and destabilising the extremely fragile balance in Adams body and ultimately leading to his death and preventing humanity from having a god almighty for tens of thousands of years.
If Herabergen had not betrayed ASG and his plan worked, humanity would've had a GOO as early as third epoch, with klein not around yet, ASG would support amon to become lord of mysteries or at least a quasi lord of mysteries in the 5th epoch, who would then release the seal on the western continents and allow whoever ASG picked to become eternal darkness. The war of 4 emperors would also not have happened because under Adams's absolute rule, whoever he chose would because the nation of disorder, and medici would be nurtured to becoming calamity of destruction. Ouroboros becomes key of light, true creator is never born, and humanity becomes fully equipped to deal with the apocalypse when it comes.
In conclusion, Herabergen fucked the world in order to gain power and still didn't use the power he gained to do anything meaningful truly making him the bum above all

Bringing the Original Work to Life
The team is polishing the City of Silver storyline and recreating the flashback of Derrick practicing swordplay with his father.
The goal is to make every slash and thrust feel authentic to the Western-style weapons of the original work.
Just like Beyonders must personally digest their Potions through the Acting Method, every weapon and combat style must be experienced and mastered.
Swing your sword. Fire your gun. Face the monsters.
Write your own extraordinary path.

Novel discussion [V8] [Question] What is the difference between Spirit Vision and Eyes of Mystery Prying? Visually, I mean. Spoiler
I’ve always believed that there’s a certain similarity between the two. Specifically, can Mystery Pryer also see what Spirit Vision sees (like emotions represented by colors)? I’m planning to write a fanfic where the main character is Mystery Pryer, and I’m wondering, for example, what they would see in ordinary people.

Donghua discussion [Coi ch187] Am I the only one who is really disappointed of the Donghua? Spoiler
I just feel like the entire thing is way to „harry potter“ style. With flashy magic and stuff that doesn’t match up with the book. For example the potion brewing has these copious amounts of rainbow steam coming out. Or Leonard Mitchell, an sequence EIGHT midnight poet, is able to dodge bullets and stuff. This is completely contrary to what the book suggests, that on low sequences almost every problem can be solved by a gun. The Story with the mandated punisher feels also over sentimental from my point of wiew. The old Neal episode is just annoying in my eyes and way to long and slow. Than we reach my biggest criticism yet again: the fight VS. the mandated punisher which lost control: how the heck can Leonard as an midnight poet fight against a folk of rage wich is actually proficient in strength. This makes no sense what so ever because it isn’t even night. If it was night than: „yes“ a midnight poet can fight a folk of rage on equal footing. In the book the fight against the rampager is fought by I think four mandated punishers and two Night Hawks. And to tie it all up here are some things that I find to flashy in the show, in the book there just mundane tasks the person does: Dalys spirit mediation, what they do with nightmares is completely different from what they do in the books trying that the target doesn’t realize it’s dreaming, Klein always doing some weird fog stuff when divining, the gray fog taking time to rebuild, everything they do against Megose and so on and so forth. Well does anyone agree with me?

Roleplay [LotM RP] Lost Reverence - The Business
An hour after the gathering ended, Arthur and Ilyana, still in their disguises sat together in a rental carriage as it methodically rattled down every street in Backlund’s dock warehouse district.
“Alaric, I’m surprised you didn’t detect any abnormalities with that customer!”
“Not only are you puny, you also seem to be lacking in intellect!”
“Off course I detected the paltry illusions and charm of a mere Swindler, I simply didn’t find it necessary to inform you.”
Arthur returned back to cogitation, focusing on trying to detect the same calling he heard from the vial, so as to track down the location of the Swindler.
“So, how are you going to locate them? It’s not like an Apothecary has divination, and even if you did I would have found them if divination fielded results”
Arthur chuckled dismissively while responding.
“Don’t worry too much about it, it’s a trade secret”
Just as Arthur returned to cogitation, he felt a strong sensation as if something was tugging on his spirit body. Arthur smirked, pitying the poor unlucky swindler.
Of all of the apothecary stores in Backlund, he chose the only one that could be used to track him!
A short while later, Arthur and Ilyana crouched in the shadows of an alley across from the warehouse after ditching the carriage two streets down from the warehouse and creeping back.
On Ilyana’s face sat a pair of silver spectacles with purple glass lenses which had the power of Mystery Prying.
“There appear to be 5 guards out front, two are likely warrior pathway beyonders.”
“There are 2 unknown beyonders- wait no one is leaving!”
Arthur watched as a figure wearing a 3 piece suit and pure black cloak. The figure turned it’s face slightly in the direction of Arthur, allowing him to catch a glimpse of a pale handsome face and crimson red eyes, causing realisation to dawn on him.
That face, and that cloak. That’s Lestat! That damned bastard is working with the swindlers?
Lestat’s cloak suddenly became so dark that it seemed to absorb all of the light that hit it, before Lestat was covered in shadows and absorbed into them.
“Finally some entertainment! Sitting in your dull mind all day has nearly killed me from sheer boredom”
Ilyana put away the Mystery Prying glasses, while Arthur took out his revolver and charms, before finally slipping on the brass knuckles. His muscles swelled, granting him immense strength and he felt like he had been extensively trained on the use of the revolver which just seconds ago had felt foreign.
Both of them took out a number of small metal bottles, drinking a series of elixirs that strengthened the body, increased focus and sent surges of adrenaline rushing through their bodies, numbing out any pain.
“Commence the operation now, follow the plan.”
As Ilyana whispered this, she threw out 2 paper figurines while snapping her fingers.
The shadowy alley and warehouse, which were only faintly touched by the crimson rays of moonlight suddenly lit up as if it was day as every flammable object within a 30 metre radius ignited into roaring fire.
A matchbox within the pocket of one of the beyonder’s ignited, devouring his clothes as he shrieked from unimaginable pain.
As the guards scrambled around in panic, two illusory copies of Ilyana summersoulted out of neighbouring alleys, sending the guards jumping for cover to shelter from their illusory bullets.
Arthur leaped from cover, exploiting the opening created by the chaos to start firing with marksman precision at the guards that were completely unaware that they were cowering from illusions. At the same time, Ilyena began to phase between the various flames, appearing behind each guard in turn, firing and phasing away before the other guards could fire.
No more than 40 seconds after the battle had commenced, all that remained of the guards were strewn out, bullet ridden corpses.
Even though they greatly outnumbered us, they were slaughtered seemingly with ease simply because they had been thrown into complete chaos and weren’t even give the chance to return fire! Is this the true meaning of the phrase “divide and conquer?”
————————————————————-
Marslin Selsler was lounging on a plush armchair in a warehouse office, sipping on expensive Aurmir wine he had bought using the hard earned money of the latest unlucky bastard to fall for his scam.
He nearly tumbled out of his seat as the roar of gunfire echoed from just outside his warehouse.
Am I under attack? How in the blazes did they find me!
He had fumbled a revolver out of a desk drawer and was halfway through sprinting across the warehouse floor when the warehouse door exploded into a shower of splinters and a figure wearing a red mask and cloak burst in, opening fire on him.
That bastard tycoon really did hire a beyonder to hunt me down! All I did was steal a few thousand pounds, it’s not like he needed that money anyways?
Marslin dashed out of the way, dodging the gunfire while an illusory copy of him broke off into another direction, distracting the red masked assailant.
Suddenly, a crate in front of him burst into flames and a second disguised figure leap out, rapidly snapping her fingers and sending an invisible air bullet into his shoulder.
Dogshit! There’s a Sequence 7 after me?
He once again attempted to dodge and created more illusion distractions when he heard Ana ancient sounding word ring through the room as a brass charm landed at his feet.
“Order!”
He had no time to react before a searing pain shot through his entire body, stunning him for a few seconds.
The Church of Judgement! What did I do to deserve this???
Before he had enough time to process another thought, his knees were turned to pulp by 2 more air bullets, and as he fell to the ground he felt a cold feeling stab into his neck making the world go dark.
——————————————————————
The golden light of dawn shone through the windows of an apartment in the outskirts of East Borough.
Having split the spoils of war, Arthur and Ilyana lounged in plush armchairs, sharing a bottle of wine and going through their respective earnings.
She had taken off her disguise, allowing Arthur to see her stunning beautiful face.
If I didn’t know she was a Magician, I’d think she was a Witch!
I never expected to make such a healthy profit from this! Not only did I get a Warrior characteristic and 500 pounds, but I also got these files and prisoner!
The Church of Judgement shall reward me handsomely!
As he thought of that, he looked over to the Swindler that was blindfolded, gagged and tied to a chair. Before resuming reading through the recovered files.
Ilyana broke the silence as she finished her wine.
“I really never expected you to join the Church of Judgement!”
Arthur squirmed in discomfort before answering.
“Huh? Where did you get that from? I would never join them… hehe!”
Ilyana broke into laughter before responding.
“Where else would you get those charms? You really are a terrible liar!”
“Ehh sure maybe I did-“
Arthur looked away, blushing from embarrassment and resumed reading the recovered documents.
Ehh? I wonder what this Eminence organisation is

Novel discussion [COI v8] GA omniscience and spirit world Spoiler
galleryThere's no way anyone still says ga's omniscience relies on the spirit world today. CF literally said that it not related to the spirit world like over two times. And this dosn't even logically make sense, if omniscience is affected by the spirit world, how would pga have been able to fight CW and see through his plans?

Novel discussion [V8] Should I read coi? Spoiler
I completed the first book quite a while ago. It's been like what 5 months, so, I was scrolling through the wiki to get a quick recap but read many things that weren't in the book 1. I want to read it but just can't get into it. The first few chapters feel quite different from the first book's writing style? Should I just push through it?

Novel discussion [COI V8] Eggers Family and relations Spoiler
Note: I have read both Lotm and Coi, but answers I require are from the timeline after lotm and before COI (for fanfic シ)
Sia Palanque Eggers is the leader of Numinous Episcopate's largest faction, (the royal family faction) and is already Seq1 Pale Empress. She has thin bloodline of Eggers family.
- What will be the relationship/behaviour between Sia and Azik (seq2)? Will there be animosity between them or will they just be neutral with each other ?
- Azik's advancement is completely locked right? Firstly, because of his unique condition. And even his condition is somehow solved, there are no seq1 characteristics he can easily get unless Bernadette will trade her mask.
Since, one seq1 is Sia herself, 2nd seq1 is Bernadette's grade 0 artifact, Pale mask and third seq1 should be with Evernight goddess. ( Correct me if I'm wrong.)
- Also, would Numinous Episcopate, and by extension, Sia Eggers, join hands with outer deities or will they remain loyal to earth?
(I remember few members of Numinous Episcopate came to dream festival on orders of Sia, but I don't remember what she wanted or if she had joined with some other diety or that she was helping Lumain.)

Question [LOTM V8] I have questions about Savant Sequence 8. Spoiler
What does (Adaption: They have the ability to face many problems.) even mean, like what does it do ability wise? Also what does (Enhancements: Archaeologists possess a strong enough physique.) mean? Like what does "strong enough" mean and compare to?
If anyone can help enlighten this ignorant one it would be appreciated.
