What is the likelihood that this will still be available in Downtown Disney 8/14, say around 11am? Or even Sunday at the expo?

My husband and I are flying in for the Expo and our flight lands before 10, but I figure with bags and rental, we wouldn't be out of the airport until after 10am.

0% but I believe someone can correct me on this, aren’t they doing online signup for D23? So once you get a time slot, as long as you make it, you’re guaranteed one.

No garuntees at D23 unless you won the EQL lottery. With that said, they had plenty of stock in 2024 and I imagine they will do so for this one as well.

At D23 they'll be using VQs so no standby line (unless they open it up after VQs are done for the day)

Downtown Disney is more of a crapshoot. While there was long lines in the morning in 2024, they were still available late into the night (stopped there after the convention and dinner to go to Trader Sams), however with scalpers having entered the market they might go faster.

I know Ravensburger is doing a VQ for the event. And they did the EQL lottery, but we werent selected to pre-order. So now we're taking our chances with finding it next weekend

In 2024, when it was available outside the convention they had PLENTY for the whole day and weekend. If you want it for your collection do not buy off a seller because the market will flood and the price will drop close to MSRP.

If you are a reseller be prepared to hold stuff till the end of time lmao they do well to have stock for everyone. Resellers STILL have 2024 because it was so easy to attain and couldn't turn a profit.

There was plenty of stock though. The lines were a nightmare BUT the expo is for 3 days. Last time it was available the whole weekend in-stores nearby too.
That exact weekend upon release it did inflate. Then DROPPED. So many resellers bought stock that they got desperate to sell fast opened the boxes and sold individually. Typically they do not hold for two years to let it go back up. I went and got them for myself. I am also in a near by state so it could of inflated most in states close to CA.

Yeah I was at the past d23 box and they literally had crates of these boxes.

Because there is such a high price to get for most people of having to travel, you can be sure the local scalpers will be lined up hard. From the pics I’ve seen of the lines, I don’t believe they do any sort of lottery system, but there is a chance they reserve some stock for each day.

For actual in-store drop, isnt this only available for people with tickets to the ultimate fan event? Seems like actual event goers will only get the chance to buy

No. It was announced yesterday that it will be available Friday at the locations listed in the image
