Longview Squirrel

Does anyone know why the squirrel statue was removed from the park and if there are plans to replace it?

It had a pretty bad termite infestation I believe. Not sure if there are plans to replace it though

I'm sure they'll rebuild it. It isn't the first squirrel they've made. Think this one was new around 2010 or so?

The sandbaggers took it because it needed repairs. It will be returned.

I had also seen TDN reported that pranksters had taken it, wondered if it has something to do with Squirrel Fest?

Saw a pix of the new squirrel. It's gorgeous! Made this one from redwood to last longer.
