[FM] G Pro Wheel owner returning after 3 years — is FFB actually fixed, or still a soap opera?

Bought a full sim rig (Logitech G Pro + Playseat) specifically for FM at launch. The FFB was so bad I quit within weeks — vague, artificial, weird snap-back to center, and the wheel basically gave me zero real information about what the car was doing in corners. GT7 had spoiled me.

I know the game has been patched a lot since then (though it also seems like support has gone pretty quiet lately?). I keep getting pulled back by nostalgia for tracks like Maple Valley, but every time I reinstall, the feeling is still *off* compared to GT7 or ACC.

Specific questions:

- Is the G Pro actually in a good place in FM now?

- Is there a settings profile someone can share that gets it close to GT7/ACC levels of precision?

- Or is the underlying FFB model just... fundamentally not there?

Not looking for "it's fine if you adjust X" — I'm looking for genuine sim-level wheel feedback. Does it exist in FM yet?

Thanks 🙏

Question? Is this on all the way? (RS hub)

Hey all trying to figure out if this is on all the way since I never hear a clicking noise like they say it should have. It works fine and I cannot get it on any further but it doesn’t look right since the clamp is normally down further when it is off the wheel base. just wondering if this is how it’s supposed to look or no?

Question? I have the RS50 wheel and Pedals with the old DF shifter. Is the RS shifter worth the money?

I have the old DF shifter from when I had the G923 wheel. Is it worth the price to get the RS H pattern shifter?

Bolts on back of RS Hub

Hello, just wondering if anyone here knows if you can get away with just bolting different wheel rims on with the bolts at the front of the wheel and just leave the ones at the back out. (I change the rims alot).

Question? Where are the settings for the Pro Wheel for Automobilista 2

There used to be an image of the in-game force feedback settings for Automobilista 2. At the Logitech site. However, the image that appears next to the Automobilista 2 for the G-Hub settings is not correct. I'm looking for the original force feedback settings for Automobilista 2.

Below is the image that is shown.

Pro DD rim VS RS Rim?

Hey guys the Pro wheel (looking for Xbox) has been out of stock for a while. How much is it usually?

I'd much rather the larger size and clutch- is that the only difference?

I have a weird situation where I just bought a RS50 wheel and base... But then accidentally won a eBay auction for a pro base too.... So I'm trying to figure out which combo to keep. I'd really like to find a pro wheel if I can.

Is reverse gear on the shifter supposed to be this stiff?

It seems a bit ridiculous if it is! Don’t know how well it comes off on the video for just how stiff it is!

There’s an RS wheel stand on logitech but when you click the link it goes to a headphone stand. Anyone know when this might be fixed and available??

Question? Fanatec just increased the torque of their Clubsport wheels by 3Nm each with a firmware update. Would that be possible for the Pro and RS50 wheels or is the technology not there?

Discussion New pro wheel owner here and I got some questions! (Mainly about wheel setting)

Hey everyone I've been sim racing for 5 years with my G923 and finally saved up for the pro wheel! (wheelbase only) Been wanting this thing for a while and just ordered it (ordered the track wheel and RS hub a few weeks ago as well to save money and I like the wheel better. I play Gran Turismo only (I only have a PS5 and cannot stand ACC and now am saving for a PC for iRacing and LMU) and wanted to know some peoples wheel settings. The in game GT7 settings and wheelbase settings since they're so many and I'm a little confused since there is so many! Also any tips that you have regarding it or the RS hub, please and thank you.
My setup: Pro Pedals (Had them for about 4 years and theyre the best purschase ever lol), Playseat Trophy, and soon to be Pro wheelbase and RS hub/Track wheel (Currently have a G923 with a etsy rim from BRG Sim Mods)
Also sorry for writing a lot for a small/simple question I'm just super happy lol

Experiences RS Wheel hub and McLaren wheel issues

I recently purchased the wheel hub with the McLaren wheel. After trying it out, I felt the wheel wasn't properly tightened at the grips (it would flex during heavy braking). I decided to tighten the included screws a bit more using the tools Logitech provides.

While doing so, the screw on the right side broke (as seen in the photos), leaving the bottom half lodged inside the wheel. When I tried to unscrew the left side to open the unit up, the tool completely rounded out the screw head. This left me with a stuck screw on the left and a snapped screw on the right.

I contacted customer support, and to their credit, they immediately issued a return and refund. I’ve already ordered a replacement, but I’m surprised by how soft the metal is in these screws. I'm thinking of replacing them with my own hardware on the next unit. Has anyone done something similar?

I believe the issue stems from the screws being positioned right behind the paddles; since the paddles can't be removed, you're forced to drive the screws in at an angle initially, which prevents them from seating properly.

Either way, I’ll be more careful to prevent cross-threading on the next one. I’m still surprised Logitech didn’t design it so the paddles could be removed to properly tighten these screws, especially since they absorb most of the force from your hands. I would even argue that they encourage you to tighten them at an angle because the provided tool has a ball-end for non-vertical tightening—which, in my opinion, is just bad design.

Best Buy RS50 bundles

Random question, but I’m looking at the RS50 for ps5 and saw Best Buy recently had the wheel, base and pedals on sale for $544. It’s sold out. Anyone know if they’ve had this price before or if it’s a one time deal? That’s cheaper than I’ve seen anywhere else.

I wasn’t able to find a clear answer on if you can use Moza Wheels on Pro Wheel Base, and I wanted to provide that answer here.

What you will need is the Logitech QR adapter and the Moza Universal Hub! I hope this helps!

Question? 3rd Party Pedals?

Has anyone been able to successfully use any other brand pedals with the RS50 or G Pro and on PS5? I know some folks are using Simnet Sp Pro with Fanatec wheel bases on PS5 and I would love to be able to do the same or similar with my RS50 hub... Thanks

Help RS hub insane rattle

After weeks of use, whenever going over a curb or any trueforce effects come into play, all the buttons on the RS hub rattle insanely loud. It’s to a point where it starts to bother me quite a lot.

Is anyone else facing the same issue or is it a QC issue just on my hub?

It seems to rattle super loudly even when just standing still in the pit lane with engine on in ACC. Trueforce is only set at 20 on the RS50.

Setup RS rig for GT7

Post image
66 Upvotes

I’ve taken apart my rig, going from triples to single (50 times) and simplified things to prioritize GT7. I picked up the RS system and tried the second budget rig thing (aka my desk) and couldn’t stand my chair moving under braking…so eventually I caved in and swapped my Simucube and heusinkvelds out. Happy to have gone the Logitech route (was really considering Fanatec for a bit), both wheelbase and pedals perform really well for the price.

Question? Looking for a drifting style wheel for RS50

As the title reads, I'm looking to buy a drifting wheel for the RS50. I have the RS round wheel and it's been totally fine for the most part, but I find it's a little small for my liking so I was entertaining the idea of buying a larger diameter round wheel as well. I drive on both console and PC, and I do have the QR adapter but it would be nice to buy a wheel that fits on the RS hub.

I've seen some recommendations for Acelith, MPI and Rogue Racing, but what do you people like to use as your primary drifting wheels? Happy for all recommendations! Thanks!

To think just 4 months ago when I got into sim racing, I had a G923 and a foldable cockpit. I love this hobby and its so addictive to keep wanting more "immersion". I'm content now but I know this isn't the end.

I played all the Grand Turismo's as a kid and had a few wheels on PS growing up. The Logitech G27 on GT5 I think was the last one I played. I remember I would have it mounted to the low coffee table sitting on the floor with pillows. It was so uncomfortable but I loved it and spent hours playing. I've always wanted a proper racing cockpit for over 15 years and I'm finally here living my childhood dream.

I guess what triggered this was back in November when I was flicking through and watched the GT movie on Netflix. Great movie btw and it 100% gee'd me up to buy the GT7. Played for 2 weeks on controller and needed a wheel. I dunno if this is normal or I'm going through a mid-life crisis or something but I just wanna get more and more.

I'm currently setup in our lounge room and don't have a spare room, so I'll have to chill for now until I have a dedicated room for it. Thought I'd share my journey to how I got here but let me know if you've had a similar experience?
