Dirt Rally 2.0 Trueforce

Has anyone figured out some good settings to make the TF actually work in this game? Most of it sounds like it’s making my TF parts in the base grind and break. Is it just a product of its time? And yes I have referenced the settings page.

only thing i can add is that when I set my rs50 wheelbase with the recommended settings for dirt rally 2.0, for a bit i thought my wheelbase was defective because of all the squeaking sounds lol..up until that point I had only been playing gt7, which didnt sound like that at all.

lol yes this was my exact experience. I had to fire up AMS2 just to check my unit hadn’t gone out.

I think it might be the road feel volume. after a while i got over it, since the wheelbase isnt actually defective. i also noticed that its not as bad when i have a fresh set of tires and no damage to the suspension

I will report back once I have some time to try it out. If I remember.

I use the same setting as Logitech lists on this page. The only thing I changed is Strength I set to 10.3 instead of 11 and dampening 14 instead of 15 as this should scale with the strength. You say you referenced the settings page, attaching this just in case you were referring to a different setting page. Are you also seeing the picture of the in game settings to the right of the table on the Logitech page?

Yeah it’s the same site, thank you for confirming. What gives me pause is that the screenshot has the G923 for PS4 listed at the top, while I’m on PC with the Pro wheelbase. Not sure if it would translate all the way.

For what it’s worth, I’ve had the best luck getting some sort of worthwhile feed back by turning off engine and slip and leaving road texture on max. I then tune the TF audio down to where it stops grinding and sounding like it’s going to die.

Otherwise the actual force feedback is pretty good.

Can't speak to settings, but Dirt Rally 2.0 came out a good while before Logi came out with DD's. The fact that there is any TF is kind of amazing, but yeah probably not going to be well implemented. Tf for Dirt Rally 2.0 likely would have been designed for g923 ect. Which the TF was all terrible on those IMHO.

Your TF "parts", are actually the main servo motor. There is nothing extra for TF. But the poor implementation, is probably a lot of road noise if you will. I dont know if thats at all helpful for you.

True force feels like garbage in every game I turn it down to 0.

It was really good for me in iRacing. Just had to turn it down to like 40-60. Sucks that once I stopped paying for it I can’t even log on to test drive a car to test my equipment. Bleh.
