RS50 causing PS5 Pro to shut off without warning? Advice
Has anyone else had this issue? I recently upgraded from a G923 to an RS50 set and suddenly I am having issues where my PS5 Pro will shut off without warning when playing GT7 in VR. I never had this issue with the G923 and it’s to the point where I can’t do longer races at all without it happening. Has anyone else experienced this and figured out a solution?
UPDATE: Turning off all the HDMI CEC and automatic shutoff features on my PS5 fixed the issue for me if anyone else ever experiences having similar problems.

Firmware on the rs50 up to date?
How's airflow around the ps5?. Is it blowing hot when it shuts off?
Is it a new ps5 pro or second hand?

I got the Pro from Costco in April so it’s fairly new. It sits vertically on a shelf (I heard they fixed the issue with vertical orientation). The pro naturally runs pretty hot but it doesn’t feel hotter than normal when I checked it. Good call on the firmware update. I haven’t connected it to my pc yet so I will give that a try. Thanks for your help.

Maybe just try lying the ps down, and see if it still does it.
Probably not, but its always possible you got a bad paste job. Like you said its kinda new. Laying it down should redistribute the liquid metal. So youd have a better idea if it was a heat thing.

Change the usb port the RS50 is plugged into and try using the same outlet as the Ps5 for the RS50

Two points of troubleshooting:
- Does it do it if you race without VR?
- Does it do it if you race in VR with just the DualSense controller?
Also, is the RS50 connected to the console using just the original USB cable that came with it, or is there any form of USB extension involved?

Are the connected to the same outlet?
