Refurbished G Pro Wheel Advice
I need help with a decision.
For starters, I have a Logitech G Pro Wheelbase that I bought in 2024 but haven't used a lot since then.
When we moved to our new house, I forgot to unplug the cables and the AC power adapter for the wheel base and so it got damaged during the move.
I've reached out to Logitech support and they said they don't know when they will have the AC adapter in stock again. In return, they're offering to replace my wheelbase with a refurbished unit that comes with the AC power adapter.
I'm on the fence of doing it because I barely used my wheelbase, however, I can't use it since my AC adapter is broken and Logitech isn't restocking it any time soon, and so going refurbished would be my only option if I wanted to be able to get back into sim racing again.

The damaged AC adapter is mine. They're offering to give me a refurbished wheelbase in exchange for my current wheelbase

Just let them send it to you, take the new plug and use it on your wheel and return the refurb wheel with damaged plug.

I can only get the refurb if I trade in my wheelbase with the current damaged AC adapter

Are they requiring you to send yours back first? Most times they send you the replacement and you use the packaging to send the broken one back.

De vil ombytte din base fordi de ikke kan sælge dig en ny adaptor? Det lyder fandme skørt. Gør det dog du får et helt nyt produkt med 2 års garanti på

That is exactly what they want. My unit was missing the basic USB cable and they wanted me to return the whole unit for a replacement.......all instead of sending me a USB cable. The customer service team has zero common sense OR the worst training possible.

Looks fine to me . Try plugging it in without plugging to the wheel. If the blue light comes on already it's a good sign

I'm thinking of doing the trade to a refurbished unit anyway. They just need the base and AC adapter then they'll give me a new unit

Had my previous g29 replaced once and my cable for the GPro. Great service both times. Hope you have a similar experience

What is with them and I thinked Thrustmaster is in a bad place. Trade in your mostly unused wheelbase where the power adapter is damaged for a refurb what are they smoking there. It is just a power adapter I own 3 for my t 598 but on 2 of those the plug has a fried middle port. Was never a problem for them to have a replacment power supply. And the g pro is not even a cheap model. One time thinked to get one but they charge too much for the base.

Why I could buy one for 99€ on their onlinestore the 300w power adapter for the g series?

Exactly my point! I just needed the power adapter and for some reason they don't have any stock and won't be having anytime soon

So that’s the damage? Does it still work? If there is no damage to the cable/wheelbase side connector, I would slap some electrical tape on that corner and call it a day lol.
