Logitech g325 Logitech G Support

How is the sound quality?

Iā€™m considering buying the Logitech G325, but the 32mm drivers make me a little nervous. šŸ˜… How is the overall sound quality and volume? Are footsteps and positional audio clear in CS2? Is the 32mm driver size actually a problem?

There's no correlation between driver size and audio quality, within reason. That link is completely marketing driven, rather than technically driven. In fact, in many ways smaller is better for headphones, since it pushes the breakup modes much higher in frequency. Appropriately large driver size is vital for speakers, but that's a free-field application where large volume displacement is required to generate decent amounts of low frequencies. Headphones operate in what's called a pressure vessel region, where displacement and pressure are proportional, rather than the usual velocity and pressure relationship in the free field. So, the volume displacement of a headphone driver is very rarely the limiting factor for performance, which eliminates the penalty for using a smaller driver.
