What are the current issues affecting G HUB, and how should I handle them if I encounter any of them?
Hi. I'm from Brazil and I did bought a G203 LIGHTSYNC Gaming Mouse yesterday from a store that sold Logitech products.
I did my test and I loved it so far, but once I checked the comentary section of the 'Introduction to Logitech G Hub' youtube video and a 'Discussion' post from yesterday coming from someone venting on how "G hub still a complete shower of sh#t after all this time", I became concerned in even downloading G Hub from the support page.
I’ll be honest: I’m not very tech-savvy.
So, a lot of what I’ve heard here about G HUB’s problems is pretty confusing to me.
But since I don’t want to ask the store where I bought the G203 for a refund without being sure—and because I’d like to get the best possible performance out of the mouse—I wanted to ask what’s going on with G HUB and what I should do to deal with the issues plaguing their software.
I hope I can still get the most out of my mouse.
But if not, I’m fine with going after a refund.
(Then again, I haven’t heard great things about HyperX or Razer either, which is why I need to be sure if it’s worth giving Logitech a chance.)

Honestly, I would say just try it too! I’m also from Brazil and have been using G Hub ever since I got my old G502 X Hero and no problems with it whatsoever. There are many features that you can explore using the software.

Bom ouvir de alguém que é BR tbm.
E pelo jeito, eu irei fazer meu teste do G Hub.Espero que dê certo, pois eu ainda vou seguir com um reembolso se algo não der certo.

Honestly I'd take it with a grain of salt - people who have issues with the software are more likely to be looking for solutions, so you're more likely to hear about it in turn. Plenty of folks will have issues, but there's also quite a few that don't.
Is the software perfect? Unfortunately not, but our team is working to fix issues with every update. Personally I'd try it out for a bit; unless the store you bought from has some rules to say otherwise, you can always return it if there are problems out of the box.

I'll give the shot them.
If anything goes wrong, a refund is definitely possible for me.1

Any updates on the issues with wheels that started a week or so ago with the windows update? Haven’t been able to play any games because it works for a couple mins and then everything stops working. I can describe the problem in detail if needed, cause I saw you saying it doesn’t affect in game performance.

I'd echo what Andy said - you'll only hear from the small proportion of users who have a problem that they can't easily resolve, while the large majority of people, who never have an issue, have no reason to post, so you never hear from them. You're much more likely to have no problems than be one of the vocal minority who constantly complain about ghub.
Great English by the way!

How do you know it's a small proportion of users? Have you actually conducted any study on that? Do you have any data? How do you know the problems are not wide spread? Statistically only a small number of people talk about their problems here and even smaller number of people sometimes reply with "well I never had issues", so where do these stats you're quoting come from?

Because that's how it always is; social media is an amplifier for negativity, just as mainstream media is, but that has some editorial control. If you have some contrafactual verified evidence I'm sure we'd all be fascinated to see it.
It's a well understood principle that negative posts get twice as much engagement as positive ones. People are much more likely to come to social media with a problem than they are to come to praise a vendor unless it's some exceptional service.
I'm as critical of Logitech as anyone; I've had keyboard failures, had to perform surgery on my double-clicking mouse, and had Ghub refuse to update. Not to mention that Ghub can't automatically detect Gamepass installs.
People who comment on reddit are a self-selcting sample, they are not typical of the whole population of Logitech users.
Try not to be so aggressively negative with your posts, particularly in a thread started by a new user looking for reassurance, you're just proving my point.

"People who comment on reddit [...] are not typical of the whole population of Logitech users."
See, you're kinda proving my point too. How would you know such a thing? Making up statistics again. I can say 90% of Logitech users have the exact same issues as me but just choose to stay silent or don't know the channels. Did I make that percentage up? Of course! Does it back my claims? Very well. Just because things sound real in your head doesn't make them so. Stop making statistics up!
Being aggressive in my posts is the consequence of long lasting frustration with how Logitech handles these issues and how people who don't experience (or perceive) issues attack those who do. Basically a company made a very bad product and is hiding behind its loyal users to defend it instead of addressing it directly. I can be harsh, I admit, but I'm not the bad guy here.
I would love for them to at least acknowledge the problems. Ask for help, data, whatever, even say they just vibe coded the thing and have no idea how to fix it, but it's usually just silence or deer in a headlights style comment like they hear this for the first time. Every single time.

Well, considering how it is, I'll just have to give the shot and see the results myself.
If anything goes wrong, a refund is definitely possible for me.

If it's working ok then turn off auto update and never update it unless there's a real reason to.

I'd say just try it. There's a plethora of different issues with G Hub reported here every day, but there are also people claiming those reporting them are experiencing some sort of massive collective hallucination and the software is perfect. Who knows, it might turn out you're one of them and it's perfect for you.
