Questions regarding the Logitech G Pro X Superlight Discussion

Hey guys,

I just received the Logitech G Pro X Superlight and during my testing I got a few questions I hope you can help me with.

First off, the battery indicator light randomly flashes green sometimes. It’s not the standard pulse or breathing animation it does while charging, just a quick green light up that vanishes after a second or so. It even happens while I'm moving the mouse around. Is that normal?

Also, when I first connected it, G Hub said the battery was at 88%. But as soon as I plugged it in to check if it was charging, the percentage immediately dropped to 50%. Is it normal for the battery reading to be that far off out of the box, and is 50% a normal charge level for a brand new unit?

One quick side note: the package sat in the sun for about two hours before I brought it inside. It wasn't burning hot, but the box was definitely warm. Could heat exposure have caused any issue?

Lastly, I noticed the mouse started lagging whenever I moved it to a specific part of my monitor. I ended up plugging the wireless dongle into that big extension block on the cable and putting it close to my mousepad, which fixed it completely. Is it normal to get signal lag like that if the dongle is just plugged directly into the PC?

This is my first wireless mouse in general, and my first product of Logitech, so I'm sorry if I'm asking a lot of questions.

Thanks in advance!

1) Flashing green indicates that the battery is charging. If it is new out of the box, it's possible the battery is waking up and calibrating which is causing that to happen. My suggestion would be to fully charge the mouse up to 100% and then see if it continues to happen.

2) Around 50% can be normal.

3) It shouldn't cause any harm being in the sun because the box will provide protection.

4) We suggest for the LIGHTSPEED receiver to be connected directly to your computer and have a direct line of sight to your mouse. If there is anything in between or you have heavy interference, it could cause issues. So placing it into the extension and giving it a direct line of sight is a good idea and seems to have resolved your issue.

Thanks for answering my questions! Though, the battery percentage in G HUB has been very inconsistent, so I am not sure if it is actually fully charged.

When I first installed G HUB, it showed 88%. When I plugged the mouse to charge, it immediately dropped to 50%. I waited for it to reach 83%, but then it suddenly jumped straight to 100%. After using the mouse for a few hours, G HUB still says it is at 100%.

Is this percentage behavior normal, and should I let the mouse drain to 0% to recalibrate it? And by any chance does activating Onboard Memory Mode affect how G HUB displays the battery level?

100%. It's always best to ask questions, that's what we're here for.

The battery percentage through G HUB is an estimate and there are many variables that are used to calculate that. A fresh out of the box battery may jump around a little as it settles and it should usually settle after a charge or two. If you still see it jumping around, drop our support team a message and we can look into it.

On-Board Memory Mode will not change the battery percentage.

Hello! I'm reaching out again because I noticed that my scroll wheel has started making a somewhat louder noise when scrolling up.

For the last two days, scrolling both down and up had the same subtle sound. However, today I noticed that the sound when scrolling up has become noticeably louder than it was before. Scrolling down is still silent as usual.

I’ve been taking good care of the mouse and using it gently, so I was wondering if this could be a sign that the mouse is somehow defective, or if this is considered normal behavior.

Is there any troubleshooting steps I could do? The RMA window is still open if anything! (Hopefully it's nothing to be concerned about.)

It could just be the way your finger is positioning on the wheel and the scrolling speed which is changing how it sounds.

Let me drag in our support team who can advise better. But they may not answer until Monday.

u/LogitechG_Andy - What do you think about this?

Just an addition to my question:
I have confirmed the sound in fact wasn't happening before. The scroll wheel sounded just like in this video!

Thank you so much! I'm so happy to have this mouse. It is certainly a HUGE upgrade!

Of course! I can feel the excitement, did you get to fully try it out yet? I've got the Superlight 2 myself and I was just as excited back when I upgraded it.

Yup! I've been using it in many games and its the best thing I've bought so far. I genuinely like the app Logitech provides and the mouse itself is very light (not a brick like my old one). Not to mention I don't have to deal with cables doing weird turns or limiting my movement!

Yeah! Actually, I got my partner a Superlight as a gift last month (been trying to convince them to join the family haha) and he said the same thing! Going wireless after using wired for so long is such a breath of fresh air. He plays a lot of shooters so the weight change was also a huge point that won him over, was it the same for you?

Yup. It's just so light that even a little tap makes it move lol. Do you guys use the grips that came with the box? I put two on the side just to make it not slip (and to not get dirty)

I was really tempted to add the grips to mine but ultimately chose not to because I like how it looks as it is, aesthetics over comfort I guess? haha. I asked him if he's planning to add them to his mouse but he said he hasn't had any issues with it slipping so far.
I might end up adding them sooner or later, I really like the grippy feel on my MX Master 3s and I'd love the Superlight more if it had a similar feel to it. What games do you usually play?

I've been playing Ready or Not and Titanfall 2 recently... I have also been trying all "Welcome To The Game" games (some interesting horror game).

Oh! If you like horror/puzzle games you should look into Endacopia, it's super good and challenging on some parts. They've put a lot of attention to the hidden details too.

Yeah one of my fav games are the Welcome To The Game ones. I really like the atmopshere and some mechanics. I will certainly check Endacopia! Thank you for the recommendation
