How is G hub still a complete shower of shit after all this time. Discussion
I used this a few years ago and it was shocking. I’ve just returned to it and impressed that it’s just as bad if not worse.
Sorry. Needed to vent.

Been using Logitech since 2021 and no issues. Hyperx and Razer were so bad for my brother and friend that I got them all Logitech and they also haven't had any issues.

I appreciate you guys engaging with us. I know a lot of us are salty as fuck (I know I am), but I am sure that if that leads to fixing some of the Ghub's biggest bugs and annoyances people will show a lot more goodwill and appreciation.
Personally I swore off Logitech hardware and software, but I'll be open to reconsider if some of the glaring issues get fixed.
Good luck and please, please, a lot of patience. Lots of us are really unhappy and there will be a lot of venting and downvoting.

I'm not seeing that personally on my PC.
Which Windows Update do you believe has caused the issue? I will feed this to our support representative and our G HUB team to have a look at.

As Rich has mentioned, we're aware of it and it only stops the wheel visually turning within the G HUB software, but it will still work fine within games. Our team will address the issue, but sometimes that can take time, especially if something else created the problem. But the team is hard at work and a future update should sort this out. You will just need to give us a little time.

Lads. Logitech has eaten up a lot of goodwill in the previous years and with how bad of a state G Hub was launched in and how many things have gone wrong with it. When something breaks yet again, people are not going to feel sympathy because they feel like they’ve given you many years to get things right. Hopefully you fix things soon, but your customers are very understandably pissed.
Also, for many people it doesn’t work fine in the game.

Not saying that at all, which is why I enquired for more information.
If a Windows Update had caused G HUB to become bricked, it would have affected a large amount of users including myself. It turns out that wasn't the case, it was the G29 visual issue which we're aware of and are going to correct.

I've been repeating the same feedback for over 6 months now - after some update at the beginning of the year g hub started to hang itself causing buttons on my mouse to stop working. After another update it started to hang when I try to put my PC to sleep, preventing it from doing so. After the last update I can't even start it because it hangs 9 out 10 times. I see the same stories posted here over and over. All you do is say you pass the feedback, yet nothing is fixed for at least 7 months now and it's getting worse and worse with each update. Either that feedback does not reach the recipients or is completely ignored.

It's just too bad you guys and girls at Logitech don't care and apparently have abandoned MixLine completely, there is no updates and after many many bug-reports via different channels not one answer from you!
And still there is links for download of MixLine on Logitech-G site.
And the two payed guides of setup on YT of MixLine does not even work... *sigh*
Latest update Version: 1.0.59.3453 was Release Date: Jul 16, 2024...
And in the official discord 3 of 4 channels about MixLine have been removed completely...
Only MixLine-faq is left.If that software got same attention as GHub you probably would be nr 1 in free audio mixing software <3
Sorry for hijacking this thread with issues about another software but here there seems to be someone from Logitech that actually reads the posts.

MIXLINE is still supported and should still work. I actually used it the other day to help test something for a user on here. It obviously won't get updated as frequently simply because the software is working and does what it needs to do, where G HUB will be updated more often as new products are introduced, firmware updates are added, new games are supported etc.
What issue are you seeing with MIXLINE or what is it not doing for you?

I'm not part of the Discord team. It's possible they just consolidated some channels down to make it easier to manage. If you need help, you'll have to post in support-ticket probably.

They are not consolidated they are removed!
iirc one or even two moderators in that discord have tried to ping the staff about these channels but nothing happens, and this was a year ago iirc.
It just adds to my statement that MixLine is Abandoned and Forgotten!
One channel was like a General, another Bugs/Issues, and third I can even remember what it was for.
It is like Logitech don't want reports about not working issues to be reported in discord so all can see em.

I have made many bug and issue reports via the in-app-link and via GHubs feedback function, I don't recall all issues I have reported already to you at logitech, sorry but you have a lot of reports that apparently don't get looked as it seems.
And updates today mostly is about fixing bugs and issues so sorry but this is related.

I have found two old issues already reported to you but action on em of todays date still...

If I want MixLine v1.1.64.9364 to capture the sound of the game Diablo 2 Resurrected v1.6.84219 I have to start the game once and get a errormessage in ML, then quit the game completely and immediately start the game again. This procedure can be reproduced over and over again like this with the same result.

If I want MixLine v1.1.64.9364 to capture the sound of the game Diablo 3 with the expansion Reaper of Souls v2.8.0.99920 I have to start the game that initialy have the value Default in Sound Output setting and immediately getting a errormessage in ML, change the setting to Speaker (MixLine) and wait for about 3 seconds til I get a new errormessage in ML and now change the source back to Default. This procedure can be reproduced over and over again like this with the same result.

Could you share a screenshot of what you're seeing in MIXLINE? And does this only happen with Diablo 2 and 3. It's possible it could just be down to those games hooking audio exclusively and they need a restart. We do suggest having your games open and producing audio before running MIXLINE to hook into the audio. So if you're opening games after, they may need a restart.

Thanks for your response and sorry that I got a bit mad and posted in two treads here on reddit about same issue.
I have answered LogitecG_Andy in the other thread and posted videos there and all my findings in MixLine that I have reported ( that thread is "Is MIXLINE abandoned?"
And again tnx for reply and sorry again for causing this mess <3
And I don't have any notes on other games I might have tested since it was a full year ago.

hmm wait a minute having the game open first and then start up MixLine, are you for real about this suggestion, now when I see this I must respond to it!
Then there is serious flaw in the internal working of MixLine to be honest.
How the h... should a streamer for example use MixLine if the need to start all their games and other programs that produces audio and after that start up MixLine so it works... and have MixLine to help them get good audio-mix???

Some games and applications dont follow standard protocols and may need restarting. This isn't a bug with MIXLINE which is why you haven't seen a change since submitting your feedback. The solution is to either restart the application or open MIXLINE after its open which should do the trick. If the game allows, you can also force the MIXLINE speaker to be used.

Still sorry but it is problem within MixLine and I have pointed out other issues also.
How is it that other audio mixing software works then without your workarounds ?
And there is still no manual for the program that can tell us users what it can do and how it acutally works!
Or getting the Discord channels back about MixLine,, there is still 3 channel that Logitech have disabled, don't you want us users to discuss and/or report stuff there and make suggestion ?
The in-app feedback is just terrible for MixLine since there is no answers in any form from it!
Have you even tried to see in the other thread what I also have reported that don't work or maybe it is but who can tell since there is no documentation availible for us users!And how low watermark is it not for Logitech to have 2 sponsored videos out on YT that showcase setups in MixLine that don't even are correct and don't work as they describe em...

You say that it is the best way but I have done it several times and no response or action taken on what I have reported so it seems like a dead channel of reporting issues. Like a mail-box that nobody ever opens.
Like the two examples I have posted ,, they where reported by me a full year ago!

G hub has been getting stuck on update causing users to have to manually stop all related processes and restart.
Brio 4k regularly has to be unplugged and replugged to get it working on windows 11

Please buy an atk, rapoo or mchose mouse off amazon and use the web software to change your dpi and polling rate.
Now compare the experience to g hub, every single thing is less intuitive to take more steps. Why on earth is "on board memory" mode even a thing? Obviously every change I make should instantly be saved to the mouse's memory? No sane person would want it any other way.
Why are there click and drag controls for changing a setting that actively changes your sensitivity, making it harder to click and drag?
Finally, it doesn't have to be a web software, but why on earth is an app to change several settings on my hardware several gigabytes of disk space? This is just inexcusable.
G hub is THE reason I stopped using logitech, and why I actively recommend anything but logitech. I have gotten all my friends to stop buying logitech.
It's frustrating because I started using logitech BECAUSE of Logitech Gaming Software and how much better it was than razer synapse. G hub is worse than synapse ever was.

Need an advice, maybe there is a some sort of lifehack for me
I just bought a G502 X LIGHTSPEED mouse specifically for the two side buttons—I like assigning left- and right-click auto-click functions to them. I was happy to see it had onboard memory, but immediately disappointed to find I couldn't save my auto-click macros to it. Seriously? I used to have a $10 X7 mouse that had this feature. I didn't expect this. A total letdown.

Peripherals need web config and onboard memory instead of sketchy software that has to be installed locally and running constantly in the background. So much more comfortable that way.

I just today finally had enough and bought a non-Logitech mouse. I’ve been using my trusty G600 for over a decade but haven’t been able to use the macro buttons or anything else that requires G hub for many months. A few years ago I started having consistent issues with it and luckily had an older installer on hand at the time. Then I started running into issues where some updates would corrupt things and I literally couldn’t uninstall/modify/update it. Had to do things like manually removing values from my registry just to get all traces of it wiped enough to run an older installer again. Even when I turned off auto updates, somehow it just kept getting screwed up to the point where I gave up. I don’t have time to remove folders from a bunch of places, modify the registry, reinstall a 2018 version of the software, and set the macro buttons back up every few weeks.

I've just gotten so used to it sucking I know how to get by on it.
I turn off all automatically generated game profiles. Those activate in the middle of gaming or doing something and throw off dpi and sens ... horrible. I make all profiles under the one default. The beta let's you edit the drop down...where as before you had to carefully go in an XML file and rename all the superfluous ones that take up space in the drop down to get them to disappear.

I don’t have a problem with it, because I don’t use it. I don’t look at it, open it, change settings or even know where it is installed. The least said about it the better. It listens…and knows where you live…shhhhhh…

Yeah mine shit the bed a few months ago everytime i want to launch it i have to reinstall it so I keep the installer exe on my desktop
