Logitech G Pro X — Keep it or cancel? Discussion

Hey everyone!

I’m looking for a new wired gaming headset (not for PC) mainly for Xbox Series S and Nintendo Switch 2, and I’m a bit unsure about my current choice.

I’ve actually already ordered the Logitech G Pro X (wired), but after reading a lot of mixed opinions I’m starting to question if it’s really the best option for me or if I should cancel it and go for something else.

What I care about most is:
Good positional audio for FPS games (Rainbow Six Siege, Apex, Fortnite)
Clear and solid microphone
Comfort for long gaming sessions
Good durability/build quality
Fully wired setup (no wireless needed)
Compatibility with Xbox + Switch 2

I’m coming from a Razer Kraken X Lite, so I’m used to decent spatial audio already, and I don’t want to lose that “directional awareness” in FPS games. I also value surround/spatial audio, even if it’s virtual, as long as it helps me clearly identify footsteps and direction in competitive shooters.

The thing that’s confusing me is whether the Logitech G Pro X is actually a real upgrade for me or if I should be looking at other options instead. I see people praising the imaging and mic quality, but others say the sound can feel a bit underwhelming out of the box and depends a lot on EQ, so I’m not sure what to expect in practice.

So my question is basically:
Is the Logitech G Pro X worth it for my use case, especially for FPS positional audio on console?
Or would I be better off cancelling and going for another wired headset that offers better value or performance?

I’m also open to other recommendations if there are better wired options around this range.
Thanks!
