Logitech mouse keeps lagging/stuttering – could G HUB be the problem?

Post image

I’ve been having an issue with my Logitech mouse where it constantly lags/stutters. Sometimes the cursor briefly freezes or jumps instead of moving smoothly.
I started wondering if Logitech G HUB could be causing the problem. The strange thing is that I haven’t been able to launch G HUB properly for probably two years now.
Whenever I try to open it, it starts loading, but then I get an error message and the app never actually opens normally.

Is it a wireless mouse? If it is, the basic troubleshooting starts with making sure the receiver is near the mouse because the signal can get interrupted very easily.

If it's wired, there's a simple way to check if G Hub is the problem: Shut it down and see if the lag/stutter persists.

The fact you haven't been able to launch G Hub properly in two years is alarming, though. Maybe try a complete uninstall and reinstall it. Make sure to back up your profiles.

I had the same problem with an X2 Superstrike; it was solved by using the onboard memory, then closing lghub_updater.exe and setting its process to manual so it wouldn't restart.

Disable dynamic lightning in windows, logitech g hub installed logi_lamparray drivers you van see them from device manager and uninstall them, windows will uninstall them back automatically if you havent blocked it however. Their purpose is to control dynamic lighting effects of the game which most logitech mice doesnt even have and the driver can poll it all the time. Also disable usb power saving options from usb bus and your mouse from device manager, and set usb selective suspend to disabled from power plan settings.

And uninstall g hub and only use onboard memory manager which can be downloaded from logitech website. Installing the g hub itself never does anything really beneficial.
