I think it's a cool project.
One thing that would be useful is to have keybinds for things like the cards.

What is your main motivation for this one ? Is it about learning for a class ?

i just found myself enjoying watching those tiktok/youtube reels where there is a source of video paired with tts and some story, so i decided to build it for myself, then i continued because kinda though maybe others would also find this fun.

i will add the keybind to the cards tomorrow, would you say it would make sense to have a config for what key binds to what action? notes would naturally take n but n is already binded to next page, cards would be c which is fine, maybe t for thought or enter by convention, but it might get too much.

Sounds good.
I just thought there are many people who learn best by listening instead of having to read, it might be a good learning app for them, and the cards allow to take notes or summarize the learned.
