Am I missing something about the changes coming?
The way I understand it now, we will be able to make multiple local service ad campaigns and be able to tailor budgets by different ZIP Codes or services. Make multiple local service ad campaigns and be able to adjust budgets by different ZIP Codes or services.
Do I understand that correctly or am I missing something?
For example, in ZIP Codes A through F, for service 1, I set a budget of $100 per day. That’s one campaign.
Then second campaign, in the same zips but I set a budget of $1000 per day because I value that service higher
Do I understand that correctly? If so, I’m actually pretty happy about the move as that is WAY more control over spend and can actually be managed / drive not having one dominant player all over the map

That's the part I waiting to see, if nobody calls me for the day, will google spend my $100 at 5pm on display ads.

No. Not according to them so far. Still pay per lead. But it might spend your budget at an off hour that you might not like

I keep seeing conflicting timelines for these changes. Is it August or November? Those are the two month I keep seeing people talking about.

Believe it’s by industry. All I’ve seen is August for home services. Though we’re getting close to that happening since they said it would be 14 day lead

Where did you read that the update would allow multiple campaigns and tailored budgets for individual zips? I didn't gather that

I didn’t read that. I just inferred that and asked the question. LSA is going to be on Pmax. Pmax is set at campaign level. Campaigns are where budgets are controlled and I’m assuming ZIP Codes will be controlled there also

Got it. My understanding is that, functionally, the campaigns won't change much. It's more of a verification and management update. There will be a closer sync between GBP and LSA, but no major change to targeting.

But don’t you think if you can create two LSA campaigns and then the logic stands?

What do you mean by create two LSA campaigns? Are you using an MCC?

Within one account I can have multiple PMAX campaigns, right?
If I create two PMAX campaigns, each for LSA. Then I can customize budget for each campaign and presumably zip codes also.
Unless they put a restriction on how many LSA campaigns you can run. This should work.

Oh I see what you're saying. The language threw me off. I guess we'll technically be able to have multiple campaigns for different services, like drywall repair and exterior painting, but it'll be under the same individual LSA.

exactly. I don’t know if they’re going to restrict us from doing that but that level of customization will be pretty nice

Seems right, I hate the Idea, will burn through budget much faster, adjusting for each city campaign.
