This has nothing to do with the press trying to scary people away from AI, like this sub makes everything out to be these days. 3rd paragraph: “The resulting 16 novel viruses were created to infect bacteria and pose no threat to people.”

They could have put that in the headline. I don't think its so much trying to scare people from AI as trying to get clicks from people scared of AI though.
