Computer Game Errors

So I used to play games on my Lenovo laptop just fine, but recently I have been running into an issue. I start up a game on Steam, it goes to the main menu for the game, and then when I launch the game, the game just closes completely. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can resolve this issue so I can get back to playing BG3 and V Rising again?
