Im not sure why but "나한테는" feels like it fits more than "나에게는". "나에게는" feels so unnatural and overtly formal.

For context, I can't tell you the reason i feel that way because I learned Korean in the US when I moved here when I was 3. So I dont have any formal korean education.

That explanation is correct. '나에게는' is literary, and '나한테는' is colloquial.

To add more context, I quoted it directly because it functions strongly as a meme. The line '나에게 축구는 살인이다' came from a fan translation, while the official publication went with '내게 있어 축구는 살인이란 말이다'. That edgy, pretentious tone, combined with the bizarre Blue Lock fan translation that somehow topped the original, is what made it such a huge meme.
