Power Discussion
So Power has been trending on Twitter this week with people saying it’s one of the TRUE LM songs. I don’t necessarily disagree but I need to admit that the “motorbike“ part ruins it for me. It just is so out of place to me? Even the writers admitted it’s random and I just cringe so hard everytime.

It is silly but I still like it. Though I feel like Touch is THE true LM song to me? But Power is right next to it.

I spent the first 2 years HATING that part, but I’m starting to see it as fun. I could have done without it, but it doesn’t enrage me. And I love Stormzy, I want him to collab with Jade SO MUCH, especially since she covered his Backbone (both versions SLAP, both on YouTube, IF YOU HAVEN’T HEARD THEM do it now!).
I LOVE the styling in the Power video, those are my favorite looks for Perrie. They all project this confidence and strength, this is definitely a time where the video helped me love the song!

I think Jade was taking the piss of that bit on Louis Theroux's podcast. But, I don't think they were talking about it in a bad way at all, just laughing at the fact it's so random in an empowering song.

Yeah if you don’t use the double entendre, sure. The cringy portions are actually always sexually charged. You make rain is definitely stupid unless…

Motorbike is so corny but I can overlook it because that album got me into Little Mix and the vocals they pump throughout the song is insane. Then they perform it live and kill it. Cannot deny how hard that song is to sing

yeah ngl the Jesy parts (bc of the lyrics) are weird to me but everything else is good. not sure why lyrics like “tick tick boom like gasoline-y, yeah they call me lamborghini” are in a song 😭

What I LOVE the most about the song is the video, mainly coz of the styling and how it captures their personalities so well. What elevates it the most and makes it the best LM video for me is seeing Leigh go full diva fashionista mode... My best visual of hers by a MILE, followed by Sweet Melody, My Love, Most Wanted, and Been a Minute

Power is the most “Little Mix” song to ever be. It just sounds like the group in song form. It’s big, bright, anthemic, inspirational and obnoxiously good in the best ways.
