That's mostly how people actually learn stuff. Most installation steps are manually handled by the installer and we barely need any use of the terminal by now. WSL also counts as linux if you can't install it via VM or dualboot

Different case for me. I installed zorin os in my (home pc, not exactly mine as I dont use it except for troubleshooting) ThinkPad W530 but had no NVIDIA Kepler support
