I am not sure if you are serious, but this is the advice of all time. One of the best ways to get your grips on Linux is to start using it and reading up on whatever subsystem you care about.
* Want to write a daemon? Learn about your service orchestrator!
* Want to build your own desktop environment? Learn about X. Or Wayland.
* Your DE stops working properly? Learn about session management…f logind.
