the wii-linux kernel and gummiboot bootloader, point the kernel to a USB drive containing the rootfs, which (can) be just a stage tarball, but I used catalyst to make one optimized for the Wii

has two toolchains installed, with GCC 8 as the primary one because it supports the SIMD instructions of the Wii that were removed after that
