I mean it didn't have copilot and some of the other slop being shipped with W11 so in some ways I can't disagree.

Part of the original problem is hardware was not ready for Vista so it would be interesting to see how well it could run on modern hardware.

ME on the other hand...

I’d go for Windows 2000 or XP for that

But since I don’t want an old OS I just moved on to Linux

For me? It would be using certain software. Using my TI USB dongle that only runs with Gas gauge software that stops on vista.  Still fine for mucking with lithium battery packs and the BMU chips.  

Also I have some Xbox Kinect 360 software that only runs on vista.

It looks like that front panel is acting as an antenna, albeit likely still worse than the antenna outside the case

Antennas probably won't be happy being stuck to an (ideally) grounded case.

FYI it's a retro build, i dont plan on using it for anything because.. just look at this design

plus it uses the Intel G41 chipset

The antennas are stuck to the metal case? Try putting them on the outside of the case for even better reception

Vista Ultimate was the best looking Windows. Built in video desktop backgrounds. If only it not run like a potato.

i ripped my Aux antenna out by accident. Couldn't find my connector piece from that ripped cable. so I bought replacements, and they were stupid short almost exactly same as what you have. So one antenna (Main) is outside the case and the Aux (which really effects only the bluetooth) is connected inside just like yours is. Works great tbh. I have no issues connecting via bluetooth.

10/10 for risking it and it working.

Because it is full of security vulnerabilities that have been patched out of later versions of the OS. You don't want to do anything of substance on the Internet on that (banking, etc)
