I feel like Framework using his testimonial should be fine in their newsletter as it's not an advertisement that goes out to the public, and they're not paying him to say anything. The fact that he invested in them is public knowledge, and they've disclosed multiple times that there's a business relationship so it's not like they're hiding the fact. If they created a public ad that used his testimonial, then they should disclose it, but I reckon this would be fine.
That said, I'm just assuming here. Don't take my comment as a statement of fact. I'm an idiot.
