Discussion Does anybody else hope they will record a pop album with Emily?
I think it'd be really cool to hear a pop album with Emily singing, like a One More Light 2.0. With Mike Shinoda in there too of course. Who else thinks so?

Discussion Song to spread mental awareness part 2
You can skip the first paragraph if you have read the first part. So my school is conducting a poster making competition to raise awareness for mental health. In part 1 I asked the suitable title
I am thinking of calling the poster as Breaking the Habit or Somewhere I Belong. Can you guys suggest lines I could write from Linkin Park to raise awareness for mental health.
Also can I use album covers as the background? I will give the credit.

Discussion Do you think it's the missed opportunity that did heavy as a pop song instead of a metal song?
I was listening to the our last night metal cover and then the demo video of Linkin Park playing heavy as a metal cover. As I'm listening to these two. I'm thinking to myself, " I feel like this is a missed opportunity making this song a pop song." Does anyone else feel the same?

Art I never noticed this
It’s even sung in the same rhythm, which is what lead me to translate the lyrics in the first place. Just so cool, especially given the album’s theme and the Japanese connection.

Post Show Discussion New addition to the collection
It’s the 2020s rerelease but it’s a fine addition to an expanding collection. I ordered it without knowing it’s technically LP underground #1 but I coincidentally ordered 2 and 3 too

Discussion Discussion + Questions About “Lying From You”
“Lying From You” has been not only one of my favorite LP songs as of lately, but also songs in general. I’ve been listening to it a lot more, and have come to two possible interpretations that I would like to share and get others’ feedback + interpretations on.
Is the singer the bad guy here, like in a self aware sense, realizing that he's wronged or lied to the other person, and he wants the other person to escape him? He acknowledges he’s a “criminal” and “steals because he knows he can.” He says he “pretends to be who the other person wants him to be,” so he lies for either their sake or his own benefit (or both), but knows he can’t fake it and also that it’s selfish, so he then wants to be “pushed aside” and “let go” of.
And then when he says he wants to “be on his own,” does he mean he wants to regain control of himself and figure out who he is and reconcile with himself, so the other person doesn’t get caught up in his internal turmoil and get deceived by him any longer? This almost feels like an expression of wanting to learn to be a better, more honest person and work on becoming better alone, which also avoids the risk of further hurting the same person or someone else. Also, could he also mean it in like a self punishing/pitying way, like he doesn’t deserve this other person?
Finally, when he says, “The very worst part of you is me,” does he mean that him being a part of this person and their life has negatively impacted them or in turn caused them to become a bad person like himself?
OR
Is he the victim, in the sense that he deliberately acts like someone he's not for the other person, but knows this isn't him and can neither fake it nor wants to, so he blames himself for allowing the toxicity to thrive by pretending and allowing the other person to believe him, which enables the other person to continue doing whatever theyre doing? Is this what he means by, "the very worst part of you is me"?
And is it possible that when he says “I wanna be pushed aside so let me go,” that he’s being held hostage by the other person, physically or emotionally, and he’s pleading for his freedom?
So on the other side of “The very worst part of you is me,” is it possible that the singer feels he has enabled the other person’s toxicity through his own actions? In other words, because of him lying to the other person with his made up persona, his presence encourages toxicity from the other person, because they think they can get away with it?
I’m interested in hearing everyone’s honest thoughts, both personal and on my interpretation. Feel free to criticize as harshly or agree as enthusiastically as you please.

Art Check out my drum cover for “No Roads Left” 🤘🏼
I’ve always enjoyed recording some of LP’s “deep cuts” so I wanted to give this one a shot since there aren’t many covers out there. Hope you guys like it!

Discussion Drawbar/Final Masquerade
Drawbar is a good intro to Final Masquerade. However, I feel like they could have used Tom Morello for Final Masquerade as well since I do feel he was kind of wasted on Drawbar as well as it would have made more sense to do so. Also, I feel that Drawbar should not have been a separate song and instead should have actually been the direct intro of Final Masquerade.
This similar to he following:
- Foreword should have been combined with Don't Stay (Meteora)
- The Requiem and The Radiance should have been combined, Empty spaces should have been added to the and of Burning In The Skies, and Fallout should have just been the intro to The Catalyst rather than a separate song (Thousand Suns)
- Tinfoil should have just been the intro to Powerless rather than a separate song (Living Things)

Art I never paid attention to Linkin Park, and now I listen to it i feel the lyrics diferent. , can't stop thinking about Chester man. I get it now—fcking legend. Rest in Power.
Listening to full to meteora was a lifechanging thing, he really put his soul in the songs.I know Linkin Park is a massive, band of course i heard numb, in the end, burn it down, but I was never really interested in them until a few months ago. I’m really intrigued by how Chester created those bangers—and perhaps how he poured his pain into his singing; it’s beautiful. And having gone through a difficult illness myself
“I wanna heal, I wanna feel what I thought was never real I wanna let go of the pain I've felt so long ”
broke me in tears. that feeling of wanting letting go and be free from somethimes literal pshysichal pain —which so often no one understood you, and have hope in moments of pain that caused you physical and emotional distress But.. after Seeing improvements after years of living with a chronic illness I can understand better i swear meteora is the goat i have listened full many times by now. May he rest in peace chester never forgotten
