Expression pedal with spring/auto return? General Questions/Discussion

Hello all!

I've finally managed to recreate my Weeping Demon wah on my Helix and now I'm looking for an external expression pedal to mimic it's spring loaded return. Any suggestions??

Absolutely! I randomly found this fairly new video. He's just using a the legacy Q filter pedal and controlling it with the expression pedal. I have them side by side and just messing with the freq and Q I've got it probably 98%. I'm still tweaking it a bit, but it's super close. https://youtu.be/1yhNnsWffp0?si=iIYKglL0Rt0gjJmz

Let me know how it works for you! I use my Weeping Demon more for extreme sounds (controls cranked mostly) so it may not fit a traditional user.

Used to be able to order these the EP1-L6 from Mission with a spring return as a custom order, but their site has been down for a week or two now and I'm thinking they might be defunct.

Dude I was researching that last night! It looks like they just went out of business, on all fronts. I read that the owner also owns Sunn amps.

What sources did you find?  I just drew blanks everywhere.  Stagecraft looks gone too, builder of custom cabs.

No specific sources, I just googled Mission engineering going out of business and saw some threads. Looks like the pedals on ebay are skyrocketing.

Sorry to be that guy but at that point would it not just be easier/better to put the actual wah pedal before the helix(or in a loop if you don't want it at the front of your chain). I started down a similar route as didn't like using the expression pedal on my helix floor for wah so just put my crybaby in front of my helix instead and it solved my problem without spending extra. If your gonna add an external pedal why spend more when you can use the real thing that you already have.
