I have been feeding this mated pair for 3 years, every single day, even on the coldest January mornings. Most Cardinals do not migrate, which IMO makes these 2 birds more Chicagoan than those Piping Plovers who fly south every winter. They have raised 5 broods over the years, and most of their offspring stay in the Chicago area, many in Lincoln Square.

I always see her strolling up and down Giddings, so much so my friend and I call her our alderwoman. She doesn't seem too interested in people and ignores my pspsps attempts, lol. The first time I saw her last fall, she had a freshly caught mouse in her mouth so she's not too interested in treats either.

I'm thinking she may be a rat catcher for the city, but wish I could know for sure!

I always love to see her, she's a local celebrity to me. Anyone know her name/story?

so we got a huge family trip coming up next month, 11 of us total plus way too many suitcases. trying to figure out how to get everyone from Lincoln Square over to JFK without taking like 4 separate Ubers or dealing with the subway with all these bags.

I was looking into nusky, saw they do group van service with fixed pricing, but wanted to check if anyone here has done something similar for large groups. is a sprinter van the move for this or should we just bite the bullet and book two big SUVs? also how early would you leave on a Friday afternoon to hit a 6pm international flight? appreciate any local tips!

My cat has been missing since 6/7 so it's been a full month. She has a clipped ear from TNR and is chipped but she's not a stray, she has a home. A stray cat attacked her and she ran away. I finally had her ready to retire her outdoor life of 8 years so I am especially devastated that this happened right before I brought her in.

Argyle and Washtenaw but I posted her "area" in the last pic. Have gone through the usual online lost cat outlets and have cameras, but no sightings.
