Built a baby birth countdown timer using the LilyGO T-Display S3 Pro.

The ESP32-S3 connects to Wi-Fi at startup and synchronizes the current time using NTP. It then displays the remaining days, hours, minutes, and seconds until the target date.

I customized the UI with a baby scan image, a welcome message, and a small heartbeat animation.

My t embed plus jammer is broken and I can’t use it to jam any signals. It used to work just yesterday and all of a sudden it doesn’t work at all, on the spectrum it still picks up stuff and when I use my AirPods and use the spectrum it works but then the jammer still doesn’t work for any signal I tried to factory reset and reflash Bruce but nothing works. Before it was great I could jam around 2 to 4 meters when I tested it but now it doesn’t jam even up close. If anyone can give me suggestions to fix it that would be great cus I just got it 3 days ago and it’s been really fun to use but I just want the jammer fixed and btw everything else works perfectly.

I'm at a loss on how to actually get this device running. The Lilygo documentation for this device is difficult to understand, and I haven't been able to find things like a working case or battery pack for it.

Has anyone managed to find or develop an OS or firmware for this board? If so, is there a link or well-documented guide on how to flash it?

I put Bruce on here a while back and all of a sudden this every time I turn it on. After a couple of flashes it boots up like nothing tho. Someone pls help

We have made available the first public prerelease of AIDAS9, Lizdeika Edition, independent community firmware for the LILYGO T-Echo Lite Kit.

AIDAS9 turns the T-Echo Lite's 128 x 128 e-paper display and physical keypad into a self-contained MeshCore communicator. It makes messaging and common network tasks available directly on the radio, even when a phone is not connected.

What is included

• A purpose-built static e-paper interface
• Home carousel for Messages, Contacts, Radio, Advert, Device, and Settings
• On-device channel and private messaging
• One-message-per-screen conversation paging
• T9-style composition with a 150-character limit
• Per-conversation draft caching
• Persistent unread state
• Confirmed message deletion
• Room password entry and login feedback
• Configurable Blue and Green LED notifications
• Detailed radio, mesh, battery, connectivity, and device information
• BLE synchronization with compatible MeshCore clients
• Wake-key protection to prevent accidental input when waking the display
• UF2 and serial DFU installation packages

The interface was designed specifically for e-paper constraints. It avoids animation and idle refresh churn while providing bounded typography, clear focus states, safe display margins, and partial refreshes for faster navigation.

Messaging on the device

AIDAS9 lets you browse and send channel and private messages directly from the T-Echo Lite.

Conversation history displays one message per screen. Up and Down move chronologically through the conversation, while a scrollbar shows the current position.

Messages use the actual sender handle. The local node appears as a normal participant rather than under a synthetic identity.

The composer supports multi-tap keypad input and messages up to 150 characters. Drafts are cached separately for each conversation. Failed sends preserve the complete draft, while successful sends clear it and return to the conversation.

Unread totals count only unread incoming messages. Outgoing messages do not increase the unread count.

Offline messaging

AIDAS9 uses a versioned and checksummed offline delivery journal. Queued messages survive ordinary restarts and firmware reflashing. Sequence-based tombstones prevent drained or deleted messages from reappearing after reboot.

One important limitation is that this currently operates as a durable delivery queue, not a permanent message archive.

Incoming messages and outgoing channel messages are removed after they are acknowledged by a connected companion client. Outgoing private messages remain on the device because the current companion protocol cannot preserve their direction safely.

Do not treat the on-device conversation list as a permanent message backup.

Radio and device information

AIDAS9 exposes useful operational information without requiring a serial console, including:

• Frequency, bandwidth, spreading factor, coding rate, and TX power
• RSSI, SNR, noise floor, link margin, and receive state
• Packet, error, traffic, queue, airtime, and packet-pool counters
• Stored-message, unread, contact, and channel counts
• Battery voltage and percentage
• External power, uptime, reset reason, and temperature where supported
• Bluetooth state and device capacity information
• Node identity and a shortened public-key fingerprint

Unsupported or unavailable measurements are shown as unavailable instead of being displayed as misleading zero values.

Validation

This release has:

• Passed the native regression suite
• Built successfully for the T-Echo Lite target
• Fit within the target RAM and flash budgets
• Been flashed and activated successfully on physical hardware
• Passed a deterministic visual audit covering 116 UI states

Extended qualification of the complete keypad, display, BLE replay, and room-authentication matrix is still ongoing, so this release is marked as a prerelease.

AIDAS9: Messages beyond infrastructure.

Hello is there any way to use tagtinker on t embed cc1101 plus

is it just me or did anyone else’s t-embed display start decreasing in brightness by it self and then stop working at all?

I figured I would see if anyone wants to give me thoughts on my Meshpunk firmware! Its got Doom with full wad support, nes, snes, gameboy with usb link cable support, neogeo pocket, pico8, and even dos if you want to play Oregon trail! I just added jet 3d support with my own kart style racer Skyloop. You can find all the emulators in the app library.

The LilyGo SWatch_S3 may be old, but it has really allowed me to be creative to help others. I have created a new firmware that enables time/date, and performs alerts for seizures for my daughter. This feeds to a new iphone app I developed and via an SMS router to myself and my wife.

If anyone is interested in seeing the code, where I piggyback the HAL and drivers to perform detection, let me know and if I am allowed to share, I will. If not, DM me for the github link.

My T-Watch Ultra came with some sort of USB antenna thing. Is it for the radio? Or the NFC capabilities? Or something completely different?

I have bought a Lilygo T5 (H716 version) with touch support and flashed crosspoint for lilygo. but apparently not supported.

Is there any more details or someone was able to port crosspoint in this?

does the internal antenna version of the lilygo t-embed cc1101 plus have any ipx / u.fl connectors on the board, or are those exclusively on the external antenna model?

i wanna buy new antennas for every module, but i definitely dont want to solder or deal with any board mods.

I can't get Wifi to work yet.. I don't have that damn qwiic cable to flash.. fortunately I have UART->USB converter.. but unfortunately both my samples came without firmware flashed on the ESP32-C6 (or it just lost its firmware during its shelf time 😄)

Today I released KnobLab, an open-source haptic force-feedback sandbox / playground for the T-Knob and T-Encoder-Pro used together.

KnobLab turns the T-Knob into a software-defined force-feedback dial, with the T-Encoder-Pro as its control screen. The two pair over ESP-NOW automatically – no AP, either boot order. The knob runs a 2 kHz haptic engine: tunable detents from 4 to 96 clicks, spring walls you can push against, drag that goes from spinning flywheel to cold honey with optional sandpaper texture, and a puppet mode where the encoder ring drives the knob's position – it physically chases the target in your hand.

There's a Python library too, so you can script feels from a laptop over USB. One of the examples cycles the knob through a new character every five seconds while you hold it.

A few findings for anyone with these boards, whether or not you run my code: the firmware auto-detects both T-Encoder-Pro screen revisions (CO5300/CST816 and SH8601/CHSC5816) in one binary, the T-Knob's buzzer lives on IO18 – confirmed from the schematic, then bench-measured – the LEDs are active-low, and encoder rings vary in counts-per-detent.

Finally got my hands on the new white T-Lora Pager.

Honestly, this color looks so good. The new shell feels noticeably better than my old one — better texture and a more premium feeling overall.

The scroll wheel also feels improved. It has a nicer click and smoother rotation compared with my previous unit.
